Alaskan Sled Dog kennel -- the family that owns this kennel (Seavey) won the Iditarod in 2012, and 2004. They had the 2004 Trophy there, which was pretty cool. They've got 300+ Dogs at various kennels around Alaska -- all being trained for the big races. Contrary to popular belief, the best sled dogs look like the ones pictured -- not like your typical 'Husky'. You can see some dogs near the middle are hooked up to a sled to pull around some other tourists. It was really cool to see them take off -- all 100+ dogs in the area were jumping and barking and going crazy, almost to get the ones that were running hyped up. Then as soon as they tore away and ran off onto the course they all got dead quiet. It may look like they're not treated well, but everyone of these dogs is a valuable asset and is cared for very closely by a group of trainers. They get plenty of run, food, etc.

Please only post pictures you took or you are in Norv, a friend took while you were with them, ones from your personal collection, not from google. The photo of the sunset in Ibiza is amazing but not appropriate for this thread

enjoy your trip. Please post when you return, or other photos you have -
Yeah, awesome shot and obviously jealous. Can't wait til I can build my equipment up, Nowhere near being able to afford to now.
Bisull, enjoying your photos too -
Even more jealous you went to Mongolia
-
I meant "art show"...nonetheless, Mongolia was alright...not nearly as fun/exciting as SEA...you're really in the sticks and roughing it there, but I did manage to pull out about 700 reallllly good images...where abouts are you these days??

Fuck the rules...doing this extra one for you Zepp...since I don't remember to check back in on this thread...this was one of my most surprisingly great photos that came out by accident...also in the art gallery...as much as Mongolia is expensive and hard to navigate, it really is one of the only untouched places left in the world....
