7. I was at work the day after. Only part that sucks is having the bandaging changed. Easy surgery. Just an fyi...if it flares again in the future take a hot bath in epsom salts. It works.
8.
Pilonidal Cyst

Pilonidal Cyst Overview

A pilonidal cyst is a cyst at the bottom of the tailbone (coccyx) that can become infected and filled with pus. Once infected, the technical term is pilonidal abscess. Pilonidal abscesses look like a large pimple at the bottom of the tailbone, just above the crack of the buttocks. It is more common in men than in women. It usually happens in young people up into the fourth decade of life.

Pilonidal Cyst Causes

Most doctors think that ingrown hairs cause pilonidal cysts. Pilonidal means "nest of hair." It is common to find hair follicles inside the cyst.

Another theory is that pilonidal cysts appear after trauma to the sacrococcygeal region (the region relating to both the sacrum [the lower vertebrae] and coccyx). During World War II, more than 80,000 soldiers developed pilonidal cysts that required a hospital stay. People thought the cysts were due to irritation from riding in bumpy Jeeps. For a while, the condition was actually called “Jeep disease.”

Pilonidal Cyst Symptoms

The symptoms experienced by someone with a pilonidal cyst include the following:
• Pain at the bottom of the spine
• Swelling at the bottom of the spine
• Redness at the bottom of the spine
• Draining pus
• Fever

When to Seek Medical Care

A pilonidal cyst is an abscess or boil. It needs to be drained, or lanced, to improve. Like other boils, it does not improve with antibiotics. If any of the following symptoms occur, consult a doctor:
• Pain at the bottom of the spine
• Swelling at the bottom of the spine
• Redness at the bottom of the spine
• Pus draining from the cyst
• Fever with any of the above symptoms

I got this one guys

10. Did you get it lanced or removed from the inside? Even if they did do the surgery you will probably get it again. It is the gift that keeps giving!!
11. even if they remove the sac it will most likely come back eventually.
12. i don't think it's that common to have it come back after having the surgery...
13. my doctor said like 75% it will come back

Yes and for me it was 100% F%$FGY&FV%R$
15. I had one of these treats in high school and it was awful. After dealing with the pain I thought was something I hurt sliding in a baseball game (it seemed reasonable at the time) I needed it to be drained at the ER, worst smell I have ever come across. Following that night I ended up having a surgery where the doctor closed the wound completely, stitched it up. It came back and after another ER drain I ended up needing a second surgery. For #2 the wound was just left open to heal, kinda like the pic, only more hair. Its been like 11 years or so since surgery 2 and it has not come back. I wouldnt wish this shit on anyone and good luck OP.

As for the boredom I actually played an entire 162 game plus playoffs on triple play baseball for sega genesis, slept a ton and snapped off as many as possible to the point of discomfort.
16. i got it lanced once before got back to my apt and then it just started gushing and i was sitting in a puddle of puss and blood so i decided to have it removed surgically...

they said that i only had a small track and it wasnt deep at all... i got it stiched up and so far the percocets are doing a real nice job :)

mine was lower then the one in the picture, at the top of my butt crack lol

i couldnt sit in particular ways and things like sit-ups were way out of the question

hopefully this shyt doesnt come back cause its a real pain in the ass (see what i did there)

17. lmao..I had one of these..first, I went to ER and had it drained...worst fuckin pain ever. They then referred me to a doctor who watched it for a few weeks..well it came back, and I had to undergo surgery. They gouged out a 2inch deep hole in my back. I was down for about a month, could only stand or lay on my stomache, and daily a nurse came to my house to unstuff and restuff with gauze.

Its been 3 years and have never had any problems since. GL!
