  1. considering it is a play IN game and considering they are thinkin about expanding to 4 play in games i have a suggestion.

The play in game should be to play your way into the tournament...so the bubble teams should be the ones playing NOT the teams that have already earned a spot by winning their conference tournament.

with that said i do not think these teams should be the 16 seeds, but maybe the 9-12 seeds...there is a lot of discussion about for example how does wake get in over VT or minnesota over Illinois etc....why not just have 4 games that decide which of these teams get in...then we can call it a play IN game

    thoughts?

Wouldnt be fair to the 1 seeds who have to play a good team in the first round( better the na small conference winner)

my question is how come the play in game doesnt play the overall number 1 seed??
  3. As it stands now, the biggest plus for the current process is that these teams get a game all to themselves - chances are the only other game we saw from these teams was their championship game on ESPN2.

Now - if they expand this and the games occur at the same time - then yes, the teams in these games should be the last at-large bids into the tourney.

  4. I think it is a joke that you win your conference and you have to play this extra game. The Va. Techs and Miss St's of the world had plenty of opportunities to get in.
  5. no it would be fair to the number 1 teams because I am saying the team that wins would get a 9-12 seed. Basically they would be umm playing in to get into the tournament...Just the last 1 (or if it expands 4) at large bids have to be played for...it would be fair to the teams that earned their way in by winning a tourney

also i think the play in games would get better ratings if they had teams in the power conferences in them

maybe the playin game should be to get the 8,9,10,11,12,13 seed.

but really who honestly cares about these stupid bubble teams anyway, their not winning the tournament and likely losing in the first 2 rounds.

ya very true i dont really care about the teams that dont make it....BUT i just think its stupid that the teams that earned there way in by winning their conference championship have to play this stupid game, they should get a shot at a big school.
