I pretty much was done with golf 3 and a half years ago when I moved to Canada. Ever since then I have played about 20 times max.
I just got back from La Romana, Dominican Republic where I played the Teeth of the Dog golf course (34th best golf course in the world) twice (We were the last group to finish a round in 2008!).
I played pretty decent for someone who has played very little (+20 and +14) but I enjoyed more than almost anything I did in 2008. The course is so stunning and so well designed that even if you are playing shitty, you are enjoying yourself.
Has anyone ever played an stunning golf course and felt the same way I do now? I am now sitting here waiting for the OT tourney while it heavily snows outside.
sigh I wanna go back...

Have played Spyglass, Spanish Bay, Lake of Isles (Foxwoods), etc...
The most fun I ever had was playing World Golf Links in Myrtle Beach. Every hole is a replica of a famous golf hole. Great course. -
That course is almost as nice as the putt putt course in portage Indiana i played at which is ranked 33rd

We only left to go see the site of capcana one day http://www.capcana.com/site/capcana.htm
certainly is an improvement from Casa de Campo but it still needs much development. The golf course is beautiful but at $300 a round, we said fuck it
