    I get GQ Magazine at my business and just scratch my head over what's called stylish today (not to mention costs). Does anyone really wear this stuff? I never see it on the street.

    wearing dress shoes without socks sounds awful tho. Also, sounds like a recipe for horrific foot/shoe odor

    I think the suit without sick thing only works for specific suits that are more casual in nature and don't require a dressy shoe. It would obviously be horrible not wearing socks with wingtip shoes but with a more casual suit and a pair of nice loafers it actually like it. Also, the right pocket square with the right suit is pretty gangster.

    Pocket squares are legit. Shoes with no socks on a suit is tough to pull off. I remember reading an article a few months ago about this exact topic. It gave some tips to minimize the odor I wish I could remember it. I've never tried to pull off the no socks look with a suit yet. I wear seersucker and linen pants in the summer time a lot and I go no socks when I wear those.

    I too agree with the pocket square. I've worn one a couple of time in the past year. I guess I'm just wondering why they took 30 years off?

    Even if I were a very young man I'd never go out without socks. That's just dumb.

    Maybe I should have kept them corduroys.

    I use pocket squares to add a level of formality...ie a special event or gala or something

    for normal business formal wear, i leave the square at home.


    as for shoes without socks, this is a summer style, specific to certain types of suits and locations. Needless to say if you wear shoes without socks in NYC or toronto, you're most likely a douche (Unless its the summer but even then)

    I wore a suit with no socks for my wedding in Mexico...but I was wearing a pair of white loafers that would have looked stupid with any color sock I think. Maybe flesh-colored I could have gotten away with.

    Was a grey summer suit, so it wasn't really business attire.

    this is why I hate hipsters with a passion. they are stealing basic things like growing a beard. we can not stand for this. we must declare war against these hipster bastards
