sorry i meant sept '10 - april '11
-
nah it started really bad towards the end of '10...i have about 2k in deposits that didnt clear (sick brag).
-
more importantly, and hopefully, theyd better figure out how to refund people's accounts who rushed to make withdrawals that obv never came through when the news was hitting
-
last i read there was 80mil(i think) in phantom deposits
those ppl were morons and deserve to lose their $ -
even some people who just withdrew a couple weeks before didnt get paid....
-
oh well yea that obv sucks
im talking about the ppl who "rushed the bank" when all this going down like they'd get some precedent over the millions of other ppl that may have attempted to withdraw. Just cause more of a clusterfuck u dolts -
i would imagine a lot of rational people tried to withdraw some.
i tried to do ~10% of my roll as a hail mary insurance policy
saying they deserve to lose $ is ridiculo -
lol they dont deserve to lose $ obv. just saying that was a bit of a stretch to expect your $ given the predicament and was just going to cause more headache for FTP when they would actually come to pay us

i disagree. unprocessed withdrawals are as much of a liability as anything that theyre acquiring
-
Well, that was a fun sweat... Here's to hoping we get the money next year
-
shouldn't you be included in the come to collect from us camp?

FWIW, I doubt they have much of a leg to stand on if they ever come looking for that money from US citizens. Liability of operating where they were not licensed. -
Lets say stars buys FTP and sees that you have 2k in phantom deposits on FTP. They also see that you have a Stars account with 5k. Will they have the right to take the 2k out of your Stars account? Or are they not even going to go after these phantom deposits?

I have no clue how they are going to work it out...but yea
They totally have the right to take the phantom deposits out
Of anyones balance...80mil is a big number -
Yea I was assuming he meant FTP balance. I thought everyone
Withdrew from stars when they had the opp -
word. I was just referring to MikeBucks'

maybe it's not really money laundering or a ponzi scheme, and the government is full of sh!t? maybe their case is weak... maybe they just want more money?

FTP obviously misappropriated funds in a criminal manner tho. nothing the banks don't do on the reg... -
Phantom deposits should be interesting. I know an echeck is void after 180 days so deposits made that way may not can even legally be held accountable for
-
np if i actually owed them money

hmm if there is any truth to this damn people who had know this was going down could've abused the f out of the system -
Everyone should of already collected their Stars money, they already paid out a year agao.
