terrible article
ive never understood the appeal of wearing jerseys and bringing gloves to the game, but i dont care if people do. it seems to really bother this guy, sheesh. -
looks like this guy has been making some edits to his article. The original had Stow's name wrong (Snow) and said he was from Sacramento (Santa Cruz).
Guy definately wins dipshit of the week award. -
with great mustache comes great responsibility

I wear jersey to every skins and nationals game I go to. Is it because I feel like part of the team? No. Its because im showing my support. To imply that it was the poor giants fans own fault for being a forty-something wearing a jersey is beyond insensitive, its terrible journalism. Literary garbage from someone who was at a deadline with no article.

Even if you were to forgive the content, the structure of the article is so fucking bad it made me angry. How the fuck does this guy have a job? (this refers to the article in the OP)

lol WTF? -
The article in the OP is way worse than the other one Bonestein posted imo. In the former, the columnist actually blames the victim for what happened to him. I thought the concept of the latter column was pretty amusing. People need to lighten up and focus on the intent of the columnist. The first guy (who I am very familiar with, being a Pittsburgh commentator) is a huge douche with an unconscionable position. The second guy just made an appropriate joke (the list of things that have happened in sports over the last two decades) in an inappropriate context (the timeframe where some girl was held hostage).

Congratulations, Jaycee. You left the yard.

Edited By: Pghfan987 Apr 13th, 2011 at 08:45 PMO haha I guess I kind of skimmed over the article after the sports list started, I missed that part. Still, it was an attempt at dark humor. The columnist in the OP wasn't trying to be funny. If Daniel Tosh had a setup like this and had a funnier punchline I'm sure we would all be laughing. Is the reason why you aren't laughing (1) because his punchlines weren't that funny, or (2) because sports columnists have to be rated PG?Originally Posted by FenwayKing
