sfthis, He wouldn't be on a single opening day roster anyway. He should be grateful that they let him in the draft.

  7. This is an odd ruling imo. I guess they werent just trying to find a loophole to get him in. Didnt even know this 5 game thing was even being considered or even an option

  8. hes finally made it. everyone note that i got his autograph when he was in 10th grade (i was in 11th), after a hoops game. i got an eye for talent.
  9. Hate this ruling, should have been F U, see you next April.

maybe. he was a beast, dunking, dominating in 9th grade. never had the greatest jumper tho. honestly tho, i think a freak 6'6 wr is the best option for him. fast as funk with hops and hands... and would be tallest wr in league. would like to see this in a year or 2 after the qb thing dont work out too well
  15. The fact that they postponed the draft so that he can get his matters sorted is total bullshit. So because TP screwed up and acted selfishly, all the other players in the supplemental draft suffer by being delayed an additional five days for the chance to try and make the roster of an NFL Team?

    Preferential Treatment ftw.
  16. The reason for the delay was to ascertain the legitimacy of the NCAA ruling on NFL policy.

That makes your preferential treatment statement invalid.

saw him put up a triple double in the PA state title game.
    but, he wasn't that great.

who gets first crack at him?

He could probably start for the Redskins or the Dolphins opening week
  19. Wait, he sold his ring?

Lock him up and throw away the key obv...

    fuck the corrupt ass NCAA

If he wasn't going into the Draft, then they run the Draft as scheduled. Due to him declaring, it caused it to be delayed and impacted the others who were in the Draft.

    Is that accurate?

Not trying to argue, just trying to understand what happened.

    bigger joke
  22. really wish teams would say "fuck you ncaa, were making our own leauge"

ncaa is killing college sports, and have been for quite some time
  23. My understanding was that to be part of the Supplemental Draft, a player had to be ruled ineligible for the upcoming NCAA season. He had only been declared ineligible for the first 5 games and then quit when Tressel was fired (plus he also knew that a full season suspension was likely). So that he got into the draft was a joke.

That said, the 5 game "can't play" thing is also ridiculous because he likely wasn't going to play anyway in the first 5 games for whomever selected him. He will have 2 weeks of preseason play to learn his team's offensive playbook and practice with the team. He will be no better than a 3rd string QB at any point this season.

Character issues, no practice/tryouts and not first round QB talent. I wouldn't expect to see someone pick him up until the 4th round at the earliest.

  24. While the suspension thing is pretty stupid, he didn't have a prayer of stepping on the field for his entire first season as a QB...maybe first 2.

But, the NFL and NCAA teaming up (IF this is what happened) is a massive story.
  25. 5 game checks for a 3rd-7th round pick is pretty huge.

    Pro QB...

    Tebow > Pryor

But remember Orton is in front him right now.

Before you say no way...College Stats vs MUCH MUCH MUCH harder competition.

    Tim Tebow: 6’2 3/4″, 236 lbs, 4.71s 40 yd Dash
    Passing Yds – 6,391
    Total TDs – 110
    INTs – 11
    Comp. % – 66%
    QB Rating – 182.2

    Terrelle Pryor: 6’6″, 233 lbs, 4.42 40 yd Dash
    Passing Yds – 6,177
    Total TDs – 57
    INTs – 26
    Comp. % – 61%
    QB Rating – 144.4

Tebow dominates in everything except the ability to out run opponents and the long ball. Tebow will be a better pro than Pryor.

Tebow will be a career backup AT BEST if he continues to play that position.

Pryor will be turned into another position player, Tebow will not.
