PS3 Trouble - Movies

    Hope someone can help. For the last two years everytime I download a movie, I'll pop it in the Movies folder on my computer which can be read by my PS3 and then either stream the movie or copy it directly to my PS3. But lately when I do this the PS3 isn't able to see any new movies that I add to the folder. It can still see all the old stuff that I've put there before. I'm pretty sure I haven't changed any settings anywhere. Anyone know what the problem is? They're all .avi files.

    Is it any movie? I know that theres something that some studios are coding into their movies which make them unplayable on ps3s but theres only a few that are using it.

    Its been about the last 5 or 6 movies I've downloaded, doubt they're all from the same studio. I've been putting them on a usb key and playing them on the PS3 that way which still works fine, but its extra work.

    Try renaming the folder to "Videos"

    That seems to have done the trick, thanks! (Strange though how it let me stream alll the other movies up until recently)

    Someone want to hop on skype sometime with me and walk me through how to dl/torrent movies.

    I tried bit torrent and piratebay, but can't get anything to work, let alone set it up with my computer. Fml.

    Even my dad knows how and he can barely email. I need to get my shit straight

    I use Bitlord and Pirate Bay mostly, its pretty simple once you do it once. What part are you having trouble with?

    PM me your skype details and I'll run you through tomorrow.

    well i deleted them now b/c I couldn't get shit to work. I couldn't even find movies I wanted, but I d/l'd "hall pass" (open bit torrent, double click download, etc.) and it took just over an hour to d/l. But it wouldn't play on any players (quicktime, itunes, windows media, VLC player, etc.)

    I just gave up.
