    Detroit Public Schools - $305 Million deficit

    Public schools in general are fucked.

    They are only concerned with making sure the kids memorize what they need to know to pass the (in Ohio's case) OGT's. Less kids passing means less federal monies. Wonder who initiated this ingenious plan?

    Public school funding is so backwards. Hey the kids are doing poorly, let's standardized test them more and take away federal funding.

    What is hilarious is this isn't even about a reduction in federal funding. In fact the idiots didn't even spend all the federal funding they recieved last year. They had to give back $16 milly to the feds this year because they didn't spend it all. $300 milly deficit and they didn't spend all the fed $'s. LOOOOOOOOOL. Detroit only has 100k students. How in the fuck do you run a $300 milly deficit on 100k students?
