3. WOW THX

6.
Yankees Acquire Pudge
With Jorge Posada out, the Yankees have been hunting for catching help. They got it Wednesday afternoon when they acquired Ivan Rodriguez from the Detroit Tigers, according to ESPN the Magazine's Buster Olney.
7. Here come the Yankees, sigh

8. For..... get this... Kyle Farnsworth

yay gtfo farnsworth
9. WHAT IN THE FUCK IS THIS???? How does the league even approve this?
10. So are the Yankees planning on trying to find a pitcher to add to their one pitcher staff?
11. OK, I KNEW HE WAS ON HIS WAY OUT, BUT KYLE FARNSWORTH?

SOMEBODY GET LEYLAND ON THE PHONE
12. lol i love baseball season. i knew the yanks would be looking for a catcher, but who saw this coming?
13. you know what

i don't like this deal on the yankees side at all

farnsworth has been dare i say solid as a setup man the last month or so, and it doesn't make much sense to bump molina out of the starting job when everybody raves about him
14. this deal literally has me lol'ing, i really dont know why tho.
15. Does every superstar or semisuperstar have to play on the Yankees at somepoint. Sigh. They are sluts.

Minus superstar pitchers.
17. i think that is the point that is making me el oh el. they just get w/e random old big name they want.
18. I'll take Pudge, but who's gonna be the "go to" setup guy? Marte? Farnsworth isn't drop dead reliable, but he's done a decent job since they moved Chamberlain to the rotation.
19. do people even look at what goes along with the deal before laughing? Pudge was a free agent after this year...so with this trade the Tigers get a legit power arm in the bullpen for someone who they could actually get back after the season if they wanted (not likely)

I like this deal for both teams actually...considering posada's career might be over.

20. Ship is right!
Pudge is a hall of fame name, he is a pretty good (nowadays) major league catcher that can't play everyday. Standard deal.....

21. Seems pretty bad for the Yankees, I haven't followed them closely this season so correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Molina decent? And isn't their bullpen bad? Because if so..
22. I was just going to say what Ship said. Pudge isn't nearly what he used to be and great bullpen help is hard to find. I actually like it on Detroits end better, Inge is a good player who steps right in and they add a power arm in the bullpen.

Most of you act like this is Pudge from 5-10 years ago.

23. i doubt most people even realize that pudge isnt even an everyday player anymore. the yankees sure do love themselves a name.

go with what you said 2nd. You don't follow them closely.

The bullpen has been solid this season. I believe they had a 2.5 era in July, and a 3.5 in June.

Since Joba went to the rotation, Veras, Farnsworth, Ramirez have been really good.

"pretty bad for the yankees" without following them.

Molina is great behidn the plate. 48% cs. however he is batting 220.
26. WTF THIS IS RETARDED FOR THE TIGERS

We get rid of a 36 year old declining catcher who isnt even an everyday player....

We gain a power arm in the bullpen where we desperately need help....

Explain to me how this is retarded for us? This is a great trade for the Tigers.

28. Yes he throws a million mph's but he sucks! yeah ship you get a reliever with a career ERA of 4.42 i would call this below average for as hard as he throws. Yes pudge is declining but hes still batting around 300!! Farnsworths best years are behind him as well. i keep pudge because your only 5.5 back you shoulda got rid of Sheffield instead of Pudge!

Agreed, good deal for Tigers. They were def. over paying for a 36 year old catching on the downswing. Farnsworth is great when on but flip the switch and its GG everytime.

ZOMG PUDGE IS ALMOST BATTING .300!!!!!

Here is a lil something for you....in 130 LESS AT BATS...

Brandon Inge has 4 more HRs....MORE WALKS...only 2 less RBIs...better OPS

WERE TALKING ABOUT BRANDON INGEEEEE

take your .294 avg and sleep better at night
