    I would suggest that if a woman feels secure and justified enough to send her man to the couch because she's pissed (assuming it's not a huge thing like cheating, gambled away life savings, etc.), the relationship is already doomed. She already sensed extreme weakness, and is just adjusting her strategies.

    Also, don't fucking dare apologize for this. The worst thing a man can do to lose his standing in a relationship is to apologize for things that aren't his fault because it's "easier" or "I made her feel bad". People generally feel bad when they're in the wrong. If you are married/getting married and are a consistent apologizer and couch-sleeper, enjoy alimony.

    Have to say, this guy goes to the hospital if I just had long day of work and he says those things. I would've thrown my girlfriend off me, not sure why you didn't. Not hard to get out of an 120lb bearhug, espesh if I am about to kill someone. Your girlfriend has to learn there are times when you don't interfere, as you were defending her honor and her friends' honor. Don't let her turn this around on you, and don't sleep on couch. Hate fuck her today, please. Make her understand.

    I dont see how anyone thinks someone would go to jail for defending themselves...dude threw the 1st punch, you have the right to defend yourself...you guys are morons if you think dude was going to jail after being hit first...now if he hit him then jumped on top of him and pummeled his head in the parking lot then ok but this guy doesnt seem to be like that, my guess is 1 good return punch and dude would have been on the ground...
