    This is an updated list that I threw together about a year and a half ago when I was trying to figure out what I really want when it comes to relationships. I've found it's much better to know exactly what you're looking for so you don't waste time with someone you're not compatible with. I say updated list because after dating the same girl for the last ~10 months our relationship is coming to an end. Turns out I won the battle but her hardcore religious views have won the war and there's no way in hell I'm converting to Mormonism lol. So here's some pics to remember her by and here's the updated list. (I've left out a couple of obvious ones like good in bed, physical attractiveness etc)

    In no particular order:

    Makes me want to be a better person
    Must get and appreciate my sense of humor
    I must be able to picture her as the mother of my children
    Caring
    Not afraid to be vulnerable
    Affectionate
    Able to put others before herself
    Not jealous or clingy
    Be lighthearted
    Love’s to travel
    Not contolling
    Good cook
    Beautician or stylist major plus
    Puts importance on education
    Good grades in school
    No hardcore religious beliefs of any kind, must be open minded
    Goal oriented
    Good driver

    what instantly attracted me to my girl was her kindness and her smile. im glad she has a great sense of humor too since im always crackin jokes. that's a must have for me. another thing that i really enjoy is that she genuinely loves me as much as i love her. was kinda scared id never find someone like that lol.

    Yeah seriously.. she's actually a pretty good driver though and I'm not freaked out riding with her even on the highway! And the grades thing is important to me because it was never a big deal in my household and it cost me in the longrun. Just a quality I want to instill in my children so nice to be on the same page on that issue.

    What attracted me to my (now) wife, is simply that we could talk about shit. I think that is probably the key to any long term relationship being successful. If you cannot communicate, you are not going to be happy. We've been together for over 21 years, married for almost 17. Being able to talk shit over is the key . . .

    I have nothing to add other than beautician/stylists are generally girls who hardly graduated HS and pretty much hated/failed out of college. Obviously there are exceptions but most of these girls in my experience are stupid whores.

    Picture the girl you're interested at her worst. Multiply this by 10x and picture her as your ex-wife in a custody battle. If you can handle that, everything else is negotiable.
