I've never bought a cell phone on ebay before, and I wanted to try it. I'm already locked into a contract with AT&T and wanted to switch from Blackberry to a Palm Pre Plus. Buying that phone on ebay seems to be the cheapest way to do it, since i'm mid contract and recieve no discount from AT&T. Now when i buy it do i need to purchase an "unlocked" phone or one that has AT&T in the listing? And will it be easy to switch it over once i recieve it? I buy everything else online but as you can see i'm not very tech savvy. Anyway i appreciate all help.

make sure to get a phone that has been activated, just call em up an turn it on. we just did this for my kid. no contract and no fees

seems like a very bad idea, stevester. You know from all of your ebay dealings that these phones are probably going to be dogshit.

just buy the att phones, slip in your sim card....

Ive bought pretty much all my phones from ebay. No problems. Just make sure you get the one for your service provider.

Did this when I busted my phone with no insurance. Easy with T mobile and their sim cards. Saved 200 not buying a new one.
