  1. Hypothetically, when you go to vote in '08, the ticket reads Frist(R) or Clinton,H(D) And for this question's sake, there is nobody else on the ballot. Who do you vote for? And if you write in, it means you had buttsecks with George Bush, so I would advise against doing that.
  2. Brewester's Millions

    Vote none of the above!
  3. Write in: RALPH NADER
  4. Write in: Kevin Kline .... He was really good in Dave....
  5. Write in: Robin Williams

that new movie coming out looks pretty good.
  6. i will vote libartarian .......

btw ... those two choices are SCARY
  7. I'd be highly surprised if Frist is the Republican nominee. That being said, I'm going to have a tough time supporting a republican regardless of the nominee. I have voted republican my entire life thus far(35 yo).

  8. I know, that is why I said hypothetically, because I doubt either of these candidates will be the leaders of their respective parties.

  9. As an independent who certainly leans right I can never see myself voting for Hillary. She is an absolute sham and personifies what is wrong with politics. Put her credentials and views on someone else and they would be laughed at when running for such a high profile position. That being said, I would take the lesser of two evils and throw my vote to Frist (the whole gambling legislation is being so blown out of proportion that people fail to realize gambling always was illegal for the most part and the internet provided a loophole that is now just being closed)

  10. I commend you for saying that.

My view is that this current administration has been so piss poor, and it seems as though big brother politics are becoming more real every day, I would vote for Jessica Simpson before I voted for frist, or any of his cronies.

  11. easy, easy, easy choice. Frist passed a bill I disagree with. We've already seen what happens when a Clinton is in charge of national security. Mrs. "foreign policy is not what I came here to do" doesn't need to be in charge of the Washington Animal Control, much less the nation.
  12. what does happen when Hilary is in charge of national security? genuine question

  13. In my opinion, you look at what happened when Bill was in charge as an indication. They have similar philosophies. We pass up on chances to catch Osama bin Laden when Saudi Arabia offers to hand him over (note that I'm not blaming 9/11 entirely on Clinton, no one man was responsible for that), we project weakness when challenged in international conflict (the pullout from Somalia after several of our soldiers were killed), we get involved in conflicts in which we have no national security interest (Bosnia, Kosovo, etc.--leading to disdain from other countries who derogatorily refer to us as "the world police"), we take dictators at their word with regard to their nuclear ambitions (the failed 1996 North Korea nuclear non-proliferation agreement). That's the basic outline.
  14. fair enough, thanks for actually backing it up, rare around here.

  15. Personally, I'd like to see Mark Warner get the nomination if he decides to run.
  16. hows that koolaid taste steve? EDIT: The cost of iraq war (increasing by the second) $331,537,979,648....10 million americans( at least) w/no health insurance
  17. I vote republican about 80% of the time, maybe more.

Hillary is the ONLY democrat that I wouldn't vote for in '08

i am voting dems down the line.

This is a temporary thing. As much as I disagree with the majority of the democratic philosophy, I dont think they will be able to do much to ruin the country if they have things for a few years. Then I will be back voting for who I think is best. In the meantime I hope to send a message.
  18. Steve, what a complete load of garbage. Perhaps you should actually read the 9/11 commission report instead of re-gurgitating the fabricated crap they disperse on Fox news.

    http://mediamatters.org/items/200407230005

There is a link to the 9/11 commission website in this article, I suggest you read it. Espeically the part about how the Clinton adminstartion reacted to a 1998 PDB about aircraft hijackings and compare it to how Bush reacted to their similar PBD in 2001.

The Bosnia and Kosovo effort was a UN effort that the US participated in, would you like to compare the national image damage that caused vs. us pulling off a non-UN invasion of IRAQ?? That is truly LOL funny.

And as for North Korea, the Bush Administration has done what exactly about North Korea? Gimme a break man, your arguments are ridiculous.

And for those who said they do not agree with Hillary's or democrat's political views, could you be a little more specific about what those views are that you disagree with?
  19. Splendid. Good work guys.

  20. A) her last name is Clinton

    B) she is a democrat

    C) she is a woman

    D) her last name is clinton
  21. Steve lives in a complete fantasy world. No sense in arguing with him untill he comes back to Earth.
  22. I tend to be conservative on economic issues and liberal on social issues......god, does this mean I'm libertarian...........?

    sigh,

    x
  23. I like Mark Warner as well. I think he has a strong chance of winning the nomination.
  24. No, it means you are a democrat. Democrats are FAR more conservative on economic issues these days, they reduced federal spending during Clinton's presidency and don't want any tax cuts passed unless there are offsetting spending cuts. Republicans just want to cut taxes and borrow the money that it takes out the federal coffers, as if we have the world's largest credit card. That is hardly a conservative approach to finances.

Probably the most common mis-conception about democrats is that they want higher taxes. Not true at all, they just want tax cuts to be passed responsibly with off-setting spending cuts to keep the budget balanced. You introduce truly responsible, conservative tax legislation to Congress and it would pass with ease.
  25. Very well put Tread.

  29. Neat.

    Frist no contest.
  30. I was a republican my whole life...but it's become more and more difficult to side with either party in this country.

I don't think I could muster up the courage to vote for Hilary Clinton since she stands for everything I stand against, but a viable option for the dem's that I'd consider voting for would be Barrack Obama.

Unless of course McCain or Rudy ran.
