I am going to London for 2 weeks this summer and was thinking about getting a pay as you go phone from the "Orange" provider to stay in contact with the other that are going with us.
Is this a good idea or is there something else we should get. I will be traveling in England, Wales and Ireland.
Thank you for your help. -
Sounds fine to me. Dunno about southern Ireland but you can use it everywhere else. I'm on contract so not sure but you may get a better deal with another provider if you use data etc.

If you want the best prices id go with "o2". Also if you are using it for staying in touch with others on your trip, you can get a certain sim which lets you call and text others on "o2" for free!

Me and a buddy are planning on going to London in October. Any tips from people who live over there would be great. I think the hotel we are looking at is on the southside of London.

I used an O2 prepaid when I was there and was v. pleased with it...I'm sure Orange will be fine too tho.
-
I prefer o2 to orange but I'm sure there isnt going to be a lot in it for what you want it for

I just got back from two weeks in London. Got a prepaid SIM from Orange with 10 pounds on it, it was drained within a day. Turns out I didn't have a data plan and the phone I was using was leeching data all day long. Make sure you pay the extra 4 pounds or whatever for unlimited data. That is all.

Even if you get the phone with just texting and minutes. I dont really care about data. Just was going to buy the cheapest phone. I saw it was like 10 pounds for 100 texts and 100 minutes. The phone was 4.99 pounds
