  1. I got my fiance a Canon T1i camera for christmas and her bday is comin up and want to get her a good zoom lens. I dont know what to look for as far as quality. She plans on keeping this camera for a long time and is a graphic designer, so i am looking for quality over price. She would take it to places like vacations and sporting events so looking for a lens that does well for those type of long distances. Any advice would be greatly apprec.

    for your time...

  2. You can't just say price isn't a limit when it comes to lenses, because lenses can cost several thousand dollars. Canon, Tamron and Sigma make some good mid-range 18-200, 18-250 and 18-270 lenses that are great for traveling because they go from super wide to a nice zoom all in one package. I like the canon 100-300mm to tho they 100mm low end can be limiting. Im currently about to buy the Canon 15-85mm. Its gotten superb reviews and goes wide to decently zoomed.

You need to choose a price range, how much zoom you want and how versatile you want it to be. Id also recommend spring for IS on whatever lens you choose.
