  1. Perfect Game (21 times)
    4 HR's in 1 Game (16 times)
    Unassisted Triple Play (15 times)
HR's in 6 or more Consecutive Games (17 times)

Which would be the most difficult? Which is the coolest?

  2. Perfect game is the coolest

2 grand slams in one inning the most difficult, been done once far as I know. Fernando Tatis

edit: according to baseball almanac 2 grand slams in one game has been accomplished 13 times. Not sure when article was last updated

Bill Mueller is the ONLY player in Major League history to hit his two grand slams during the same game from opposite sides of the plate

  3. Back to Back no hitters.
  4. Perfect Game
    4 Hrs
    6 Hrs
    Triple Play
    HBP
  5. Perfect game is definitely the coolest.
  6. Agree that it should easily be perfect game first.
  7. Add 35-game hitting streak to the mix. Only been done 15 times in Major League history. Even rarer now than 4 home runs in a game.
  8. Perfect Game
    Hit streaks in general
Triple Play (the luck required makes it awesome)
  9. Unassisted triple play isn't even difficult. It is just luck.

extended hitting streaks i tend to think are the most difficult. game after game after game you have to be great. lots of these feats are only a few plays or one game of greatness.

well, not sure you have to be 'great' game after game since a 1-5 night with a bloop single extends the streak, but yes. Anytime you get past about 25, the attention you start getting during a streak ramps up the pressure.
  12. agree reech. a long hitting streak is as much about luck as it is about being "great".
  13. 20 K's in a game
  14. Brendan Fraser struck out 27 in a game once. On 81 pitches, no less.

  21. same fan getting hit twice on foul balls ftw
  22. There should be an asterik next to the most recent perfect game as it was against the mariners.

4 homers would be most difficult and most fun imo.

  25. alot of these weird events are just lucky to have the opportunity to occur.

unassisted triple play, 2 GS one inning.

20k game, PG, 4hrs are real feats of greatness, hit streaks, HR streaks.

casual fans know and like hamilton a lot more, and prefer offense over pitching whereas us baseball sickos tend to prefer good pitching, at least i do.
  27. Which record is the hardest to break in the MLB?

    Cy Young's 511 wins?
    Cal Ripken's consecutive games streak?
    Dimaggio's 56 game hit streak?
