Cost of Living - 5 outside kc and stl very reasonable and in the biguns a 30-40 minute commute will often put you in very nice neighborhoods for reasonable prices.

Beaches - 4 . They aren't all like what you see on Jersey Shore, that's only the Seaside to Belmar area. Avalon/Sea Isle is my personal fav. Only reason its not a 5 is cuz a lot of beaches in Jersey are dirty as fuck.
Drivers & Driving - 2 . North Jersey drivers are brutal. South Jersey drivers are a little better, but there's still wayyyyy to much traffic and construction.

Cop to Citizen Relations - 1 . I don't know why, but 95% of the cops i meet in Jersey are just awful at dealing with people. Except for my neighbor across the street who's a state trooper. He's awesome.
Foreigners - 3 . There's a good amount of them, but they mostly just work there jobs and don't really bother me at all.
Night Life - 5 . There's a million places in Jersey to party. AC. Hoboken. Belmar. I know Philly probably doesn't count but it's right over the bridge and awesome.
Weather - 5 . I think it's perfect. I don't think a winter is complete without snow, and our summers are in the goldilocks zone.
Cost of Living - 2 . It's a lot more expensive up north near NY, but it's manageable.

Night Life - 2- new havens good, everywhere else sucks...2 hour drive to boston and 1 hour to nyc tho.

Cost of Living - Housing prices have come down big time so I would have to say 3.5 to 4. Before housing market crashed houses were ridiculously expensive down here.

I was at an OU game in Lincoln with family and we went to see Mount Rushmore when I was a kid so that's how I hit SD. Went to see Sox in Minneapolis but it wasn't real close and when I 've been in Montana I was in Missoula which my friend said wasn't real close to North Dakota. Maybe I will go one day but it's not really on my list. I didn't set out to go to all the states, it just so happens that my travels have made it happen. One nice thing about living in North Dakota is its one less boring state to travel to to hit all 50 states. I've been to 42 states and if I didn't live here it wouldn't be on my list either. But the fact that you have 49 states visited you have to come up here. Sports Teams - 1 (No professional sports teams, although there are a few decent college FB and basketball programs)
Schools/Colleges - 5 (some of the best public and private universities in the country, lots of prep schools)
Beaches - 3 (VA Beach is far from great, but seeing as most of the country is landlocked I think we deserve a 3)
Drivers & Driving - 4 (Don't have a whole lot to go on here, but the drivers in VA are at worst twice as good as those in Texas)
