    Listen to Lesson Learned & Truly, Madly, Deeply back to back, I love those two songs together. Also Winter Birds is my favorite on his new album.

    Check out Josh Ritter also.

    I like some of his stuff. My wife loves that kind of music. For similar things, if you haven't tried, check out Amos Lee, Eric Hutchinson, and Johnny Lang.

    I think his voice is more raspy than a 60 year old Waffle House Waitress that smokes 2 packs of non filter Camels a day.
