woow jeeeez
-
yeah all in the first 11 minutes too.
-
obv setting up an epic comeback.
-
Damn that's taking a boning right there.
I don't think the Wings goaltending can carry them through the playoffs like Osgood did last year. I guess he didn't carry them since they have such sick skaters but he played pretty amazing. -
Taking their sweet ass time to start this comeback....must want it to be mind blowing.
-
ask Don Cherry.
He went OFF on them after the leafs/sens game. And not because on tonights game. -
After reading murderer's post this morning - I almost thought this was about hooking up with a chick on her period. Carry on...
-
meh 8-0
-
Fuck yeah. We may miss the playoffs this year, but a win over the Wings is always sweet.
-
LOL 8-0 loss and Lidstrom's +/- is 0...
guy is amazing...
Mikael Sammuelson and some home grown talent leaving for a goalie by deadline day imo. -
what goalie?? minnesota was supposedly shopping Backstrom, but they are working on a deal for him now. who is DET targeting?

edit--Giguere? -
There are a whole bunch out there available, may not be legit #1 but anything can be better than what they have now.
You have Fernandez in Boston, Lehtonen in Atlanta, Giguere in Anahiem as you said, Toskala in Toronto, Roloson in Edmonton, Legace in St. Louis, Backstrom in Minnesota, Vokoun/Anderson in Florida
all these guys have been rumored to move at the deadline...theres a bunch of goalies out there for the right price. -
If the leafs trade Toskola and Kaberle, the leafs will be giving up an average of 5 goals a game. Cujo is old and Pogge isnt ready (if he ever will be)

Umm I don't think the Leafs really care too much how many goals per game they give up this season.
I think they would take a few picks and maybe some prospects for Toskala at this point and go after someone in the summer.
You know Cujo is gone for sure...they aren't signing him and Pogge is almost certain to be the backup next season.
Assuming they are getting rid of Antropov and Poni they are going to have a TON of caproom this summer in order for Burke to do his thing. Obviously Wilson and Burke both agree Toskala is not the goalie they want in net.
I hope they keep him, I hope they keep winning LMAO...putting themselves in their famous position 6-14th place with no chance at the #1.
If I were a Leaf fan I would be praying Pogge/Cujo finish out the year to try and get back in the lottery. -
thats the only this that is stoping me from killing myself during this hot streak. If the leafs get rid of everything that they are rumoured too, then the cupboard will be more than empty. I'm starting to get the feeling that Pogge will turn into the next Mikael Tellqvist. They kept the wrong one btw Pogge/Rask
-
How come DET didn't claim Legace off waivers when the blues sent him packing?? Think they'd have to pay him $1.2 mill for the remainder of the year if they pick him up now...could be wrong.
-
It doesn't matter......Brodeur is back and the Devils will win their 4th cup in 14 years! Goooo Devillss!
-
Manny Fernandez is going no where.
-
I could see the Wings picking up Pascal Leclaire from Columbus if they didn't have a good chance of facing each other in the first round. Detroit def. needs to do something.
-
No the Bruins wont trade him because they don't want to risk Thomas getting hurt in a year they have a chance to win a cup. Look at what happened to Montreal last year. Also pretty much the whole year Julien has said they're not trading him. I'm actually pretty open to trading him but every story around here says no way he's going anywhere:
Pretty much every 3 days there is something in the globe about them not trading him:

Like I said I think Rask is a better option so you wouldn't have to worry about Thomas getting hurt.
Meh if a team offered me a solid roster player...say Mikael Sammuelson for Fernandez I would jump all over it.
No one in Edmonton thought they would ever trade Ryan Smyth and look how that turned out lol... -
If Detroit offered Mikael Samuelsson for Manny Fernandez, I'd pack Manny's bags for him and drive him to the airport
-
Oh I agree if we got a top 6 forward or a top 4 defensemen I think they'd do the deal. I just couldn't see anyone offering that for a goalie that's about to be a UFA. So my guess is they don't take back like a 2nd rounder or a 4th line, 3rd defensemen pairing type guy.
I personally think the Bruins are going to deal Hunwick and one of our wings from Providence for Cole and then turn around and ship Kessel for Pronger (unless Burke decided to lessen his demands for Kaberle) but i can't see the leafs-bruins doing a deal since they are in the same division. Though we thank you guys for gift wrapping us Raske!
