If im japanese why would you call me a Jewish American Princess??? Hell Yeah I would be mad....
-
I thought they preferred Nip.
-
Of course its offensive. You're calling them a Jewish American Princess
-
well i personally could care less, as I've definitely been called way worse, but if some random stranger walked up to me on the street and called me a jap, I would definitely be mad as all hell. most of my family members take very strong offense to the word (it's like dropping an "N" bomb on a black person tbh.
the reason why is during WWII it was the derogatory term used against all japanese people, including those who were born and raised here. older japanese americans who were placed in the internment camps during WWII would definitely get mad if you called them that, as it would resurface all of the discrimination that they faced during that time period.
Cliffs Notes: if you feel the need to use the term, call me it b/c i don't give a flying fuck, but never direct that term at another japanese person. -
of course its offensive. call someone that over here and see what happens.....
-

I was at Wal Mart the other day trying to make it down the ridiculously crowded cereal aisle. All of a sudden this little black kid comes up behind me with his cart and says, "honk, honk." I was like, "wtf... the lane is crowded... I cant move?"
Then it dawned on me that he was bein racial and calling me honkey. -
Bill Parcels does not think so.......

I work for a Japanese company so I tested this. It seems that those born in the US are more offended than those who are actually from Japan. Whereas any reference to mushroom clouds seems to offend both groups equally.
