I have a samsung touchscreen phone that i cracked recently. Local cell phone shop will replace for about $100, but after some research I'm considering trying to do it myself. I found the part for about $35 including shipping and tools. So my question is....anyone out there try this? any help or suggestions are appreciated.

I replace iPhone LCD's all the time, takes patience and small tools, but can be done. I always purchase insurance, no matter what though. lol

not true, Both AT&T and verizon have both given me 3 new phones within a year (different years obv) but after 3, they just dont let you put in another claim for a year... i cant believe you'd lie like that!

Verizon is a 50 dollar deductible too on top of the 5.95/month.
My LG chocolate touchscreen stopped working last week but it was still under warranty so I didn't have to go thru the insurance.
