    The UIGEA was pushed forward by Frist, Leach, and the NFL guy, all republicans. It was added to a must pass port bill at the last second. It would have been rejected if openly brought to congress. Also, it was still a republican lead congress when it was passed...so please stfu

    Just do a google search and you will find the tax reduction delays, mostly blamed on the bank bail outs going on.
    And I will quote above, the president doesn't write laws. It took a majority of Democrates along with republicans to get any of this anti gambling laws in place. It is a completly bi partisan Fuck You to poker players. The powers of the president are very limited when he has a hostile congress, that whole seperation of power from government 101.
