  1. Sponsored by the nut cases that want to ban smoking in NV casinos.
The propaganda and the destruction of personal responsibility is tilting me.

    "They shouldn't have to"
"They don't choose to breathe this smoke, they have to."

I have great news for these kids. Your parents don't have to work in a casino. Since they are aware it could be harmful they can quit if they choose.

The worst part is this BS is funded by our government.

  2. Those kids parents are stupid. Just a shame they didn't die of lung cancer before they could procreate.

  3. YES! Unless of course a "doctor" carves you up in the womb. ul, gg.
  4. This will make for a good thread I think.

Fuck smokers imo, they should have to go outside and smoking should be banned in ALL public places.

Here here!! I for one support smoking in abortion clinics in order to dispel this obvious hypocrisy
  6. I remember when they first banned smoking in bars and casinos out here, the opposition was huge. Now that a few years have gone by, no one really cares.

  8. Yeah I think businesses the public attends should be included. Casinos, hospitals, bars, restaurants, arenas, stadiums, school grounds, baseball parks, maybe parks in general but def areas like basketball courts and skate parks. Im dead serious too.

I hate cigarettes and its horrible having to be in the same area as a smoker. I grew up with 2 parents as smokers and 1 is dead because of it. I inhaled tons of second hand smoke cause I grew up under dummys that smoked around their children. You should not be subjected to a health risk emitted from someone else ever. Im not against smoking..wanna smoke? smoke all you want but it should be in your house, car, designated area or away from everyone. Why should I have to smell like shit and inhale something that can give you cancer just cause the smoker wants to patronage the same business as I do?

No one forces you to be on a property where smoking is allowed. Pretty soon we are going to ban smoking inside of houses whenever you have friends over...

Shouldn't the business owner have the right to determine if someone is allowed to smoke on their property? You then have the choice to work or frequent that place.

    I'm pro choice

  12. This is one area of life where my Libertarian leanings go out the window. Fuck all you stinky, yellow fingered, brown toothed, nicotine junkies. Your right to smoke ends when I begin to inhale your exhaust fumes.

Everyone likes freedom for themselves but is scared of their neighbors having the same freedoms.

Specious argument. If one business allows it, all will in an effort to grab market share. Thus, non-smokers who wish to indulge their "gamble" will have no "choice", and you know it.

Because more people want smoking in bars and restaurants than don't? What country do you live in where catering to smokers gives you a larger market share than catering to non-smokers?

That should be and probably is illegal.

  21. Dyz . . . I am not going to argue with you on this one. You are in the right viz. personal liberty, but I STILL would vote to ban smoking in all venues where the public works/frequents. In other words, if you want to smoke, do it in your home, your car, or in the outdoors. It is not a rational sentiment, but at least I am honest about it.

What has happened to our society when grown men are afraid of some smoke in a bar or casino?

I never said I couldnt put up with it. I just dont like to. Its funny when I used to hang out in bars they didnt have the laws and now that I dont hang out in bars they put the new laws in place. Crazy shit huh? Smokers that dont give a fuck where they light up are usually total dipshits with zero sense of common courtesy or care.

Yeah well Im not the type of person to call the cops on two fat chicks with kids just cause they are too dumb to even realize what they are doing. They are just stupid inconsiderate cows. And doing something like calling the cops on someone for that is petty. I get out the leaf blower and send em to the gutter with the leaves tbh.

im not arguing the rights of business owners, that thread happened already. Im just pointing out that people who were dead set against this when it happened here have realized its an issue thats not important enough to get worked up over now. Most places have added outdoor smoking sections now so smokers can have their drink while they smoke, so its not much of an issue anymore.

Would have ended up the same without the laws. Once non-smokers started outnumbering smokers things started to change. In places where smoking in restaurants is legal, not all or even most restaurants allow smoking or have a smoking section.

exactly, it would have happened eventually anyway, so whats the problem in making it happen sooner?

Its a good example of a situation where people claim their "rights are being taken away, and its the end of freedom", but when its implemented it turns out everyone is glad it happened.

The problem is that the government should not be outlawing legal behavior in private businesses however it sees fit. If the demand for non-smoking bars is so enormous, there will be no shortage of businesses to cater to the demand.

If someone is afraid of drowning, they shouldn't go in the ocean. If someone is afraid of heights, they shouldn't go to high places. If someone is afraid of second-hand smoke, they shouldn't patronize or work in businesses that permit smoking. All of this is common sense.

The problem is freedom. If freedom can be disregarded when it is inconvenient then freedom is worthless.

  29. Not too long from now cigarettes will be legal to sell, but illegal to smoke.
  30. Fucking nonsense that anyone thinks they should be able to outlaw smoking in a private business. If you don't like how it smells in there, stay the fuck out and go somewhere else. I don't even smoke cigarettes but it blows my mind that anybody thinks the government should be able to ban smoking in a private establishment where attendance is completely voluntary. You nanny state idiots make me sick.
