    Yes I know. I just figured that the only things the Brits get excited over was soccer or the royals.

    it's at times like this that I miss having cnn international on Directv I never understood why they took it off of the American package

    I could tune in to msnbc and watching some documentary about being locked up and im sure foxnews has some terrific non news shows going on too. hln used to be good for this back when it was a news channel

    cnn only option for coverage i guess but nothing on the screen at the moment

    All of the news channels are evolving like MTV - more and more programming based on trying to generate ratings vs. what they were originally set up to do.

    Did he actually shoot the policeman though? From the news articles, it still doesn't seem very clear what happened.

    I know a policeman was shot, but they still didn't inexplicably say it was the dead guy who did it

    I love the idea of rioting spreading over several days. People are waking up and deciding to head out and riot? rioters are going home to sleep and then heading back out to break some more windows? lol so crazy.

    I've read a few news stories on the guy and still don't know what happened. he shot at the cops and then they shot back and killed him? was it that the cops shot first or something?
