  1. call me crazy, but i really think they have a legit shot to win the division only because its sooooooo terrible. i was just at two of their games against milwaukee this week and that team can hit. holliday is such a monster. i really hope they dont deal him to anyone in the nl. if they can get any consistency in their pitching, they will definitely make a run

and on a side note, everyone's fav pitcher to dump on, Dave Bush, threw another gem today...say what u want about his career as a whole but he has been money for the last month or so

  2. It's not going to help that Holliday won't be a part of the Rockies much longer. And Fuentes too.
  3. No
  4. Meh, I don't really see it happening, but that could just be the bitter Phillies phan in me talking.

  5. I sure hope the OP is right........GO ROX!

Holliday will be here for the season. Fuentes can leave any time. Yes they can hit, but can they pitch?
  6. obv disregard is they trade away holliday and others...im just saying i dont think they should trade him because if they dont they have a shot...then again the A's were still in it and dumped harden and gaudin so what do i know

LOL @ this happening. You listen to too many talking heads.

They are 7 games out and people think that management has given up on this year? I LOL again.
  8. actually the phillies are going to HELP the rockies when they sweep AZ 3 straight before the allstar break. i think the rockies have a very legit chance to win it and they dont have to wait til the last week of the year to make the playoffs.

but this is why they play the games, but they have as good a chance as az thats for sure, even 6-7 games out. the rockies have been playing real well lately but not gaining ground yet. it will happen.

lets put on the rally hats once again!

  9. I don't really think the NL West is as bad as people make it out to be. It's got teams with stacked pitching (Ari/LA (and SD in most years)), stacked hitting (Col), and utter shit (SF).

When the leader of the division is sub-500, it's possible that anyone can make a run. I still think LAD/Ari win the division though.
  10. i guess getting swept this weekend by the mets wont help their cause.
  11. playin the mets this weekend? go rockies imo

  12. i needed money cuz i had none

i fought the lol and the lol won

    whatever!

omg puke, stanford as title town? gtfo espn! what a reecharound.
  16. As poor as that division has done this year, yes if they pull off a miracle run like they did last year, they definitely can win the division. I think only that would save them though. I see Arizona or LA winning being just a couple to few games over .500 at most.
  17. the only thing thats true for sure is no one will run away with it. shockingly there is a worse division so don't pick on us! its not like the NL East is sooo much better either. the west could easilly make up those 4 puny games...party if philly does not sweep them in the 3 games before the break.

I agree with what you are saying. There is a lot of parity in the N this year .. the Central is probably the best division with the Cubs/Cardinals/Brewers as the top teams and the Astros/Reds having lineups good enough to just put up 10 runs on a given night. The Pirates are not god awful either. But the difference between the Central and the East isn't much. And from there, While the top of the East might be better than the West (at the moment at least), the bottom of each division is similar.
  19. agrii!

btw i hope the rockies make a move for a starting pitcher of real value...oh like sabathia. yeah right whatever. really they need TWO quality sp's but i will take one for now. we have a lot of hitting talent to trade and in the pipeline coming up. get the fuck on it people!

  21. it's nice to see fans of National League expansion teams get together and agree that their mediocre records aren't so bad.

Sigh. Don't even know where to start here. Should I begin with the fact that your post brings nothing to the table (positive or negative) in terms of baseball discussion? Or perhaps that your logic is thoroughly flawed in this case (The fact that I cheer for the Marlins has literally zero relevance to me saying that I don't think the NL west is much worse than any other division .. despite the common belief that the division is shit)? Or perhaps I should begin by asking you at what point did I even mention Florida, expansion teams, or the fact that I think Colorado will make a run? Should I then wait for you to not respond to that question(because in reality people which make posts lacking logic, reason, or evidence rarely do respond when told their their post lacked said qualities)?

I really am at a loss for where to start here. I think I'll go with the good old fashioned GTFO until you can provide something useful method. Yea, thats it.

    Kindly GTFO.
  23. you're misreading my tone. i was going for playful teasing. flirtatious, even. dick, but not super-dick.
  24. The yankees are sure a tough team to cheer for, I dont see whats wrong with people trying to highlight the strengths of their teams and discussion about what needs to happen to make a potential run.

lets talk about the Yankess, o it would be nice if we could buy some more players so we can try and make a run this year but once again fall short.

This is just BS needling at you being a yankee fan (if I got that right, i dont remember), I know you have heard it all before. leave our little teams alone we need all the support and positive vibes we can get..
  25. disagree, agree, i was kidding
