  1. Why is there no talk about this? It would make for the most amazing infield in the history of baseball...
  2. fuck a rod
  3. jesus fucking christ, oh my friggen head.

    ess? plz
  4. the phillies are not trying to get better. get over it.

    plus philly just had T.O.
  5. It makes sense because they need a third baseman but that's about the only reason. I'm pretty sure anyone who watched any of their games this year noticed their problem is not offense. Any money they can afford to spend needs to be spent on getting some pitching. They have Hamels....so that just leaves 4 more starters and an entire bullpen.
  6. A Rod and Barry Bonds to the D-Rays please.
  7. Who else loves that ^^^^ idea?
  8. 2nd. they have the $ if they feel like spending it. arod makes more than their whole roster.
  9. lol bonds and arod on the dbacks

    i it
  10. not a chance in hell. Unless of course they give A-Rod 50% ownership of the team.
  11. Key point being "if they feel like spending it". They don't. They want to continue sucking and getting a ton of money from revenue sharing, which the owners keep for themselves.
  12. Hardy fucking har at the idea of ARod in a Phils' uniform. I do wish Pat Gillick would at least pretend that he wants to sign him for $30m/year just on the outside chance that Bill Giles would drop dead and the rest of that disgrace of an ownership group would have to sell the team.
  13. ^^ The Marlins should do that...then ARod could buy them a stadium :(
  14. A rod to Reds...

    Ship it
  15. yeah they need to get rid of griffey and bring in a new star to parade around without building on top of it.
    gl with that.
  16. Dusty Baker would probably be the worst manager he could hook up with. Besides, Dusty wouldn't be interested. He has to leave room for Neifi Perez.
  17. ZINGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!
  18. My crystal ball says he will be in Boston next year.
  19. If Boston signs A-Rod, they are exactly the same as the Yankees. I doubt Boston would be willing to pony up the cash it would take to land A-Rod. You guys are aware that John Henry has lost half of his net worth in the past few years right?

  20. boston fans dont want arod anyhow. 15,000 of them last night were chanting "dont-sign-Arod!" over and over again to the owner. "re-sign-lowell!"
  21. They have to resign Lowell now that he won the MVP. I don't see them wanting to spend that much on ARod anyway. The team that should spend as much as they can on him is the Angels...adding him makes their team ridiculous.
  22. thats what espn said this morning.^^
  23. No chance he will be in Boston. I don't even know why everyone keeps bringing it up. Just because they can afford him does not mean we will get him or even want him. He left NY because he hated it there and they hated him, it had nothing to do with money. Pretty sure he will sign with a team for much less money than hes asking.
  24. i hope he can get by. hookers really take a toll on the wallet...so i hear.
  25. King Lowell will be the 3rd baseman for the sox next year at a bargain basement price of 15mm/yr
  26. ha i just lmao at skywalkers post
  27. I hope he goes to the Cubbies but if he does I hope they dont raise ticket prices :(
  28. cuz the phillies are cheap, and Pat Gillick has said he doesn't mind paying a player big money but he doesn't thinking giving a long deal is worth it, even though gillick is out after this season but still the phillies are not going to pay howard big money and a-rod big money, and we have pat burrell who is making 13m a year..
  29. loooooooooooooool...so true tim...so true
  30. NO NO NO NO

    OMFG NO
