    The Demo for Final fantasy 13-2 went online yesterday, xbox and ps3, and it's a much better game than the original from what I have seen so far. Give the demo a shot.

    oh, and on a sad note, i had to reformat my computer and lost all my skyrim saves... right before going to beat the game... sigh.

    It's just a demo. Free in the ps3 store and xbox gold members. Just released yesterday. Full game out at the end of the month.

    Same combat system? Is it as painfully linear?

    I loved oldschool final fantasy games but could never really get into 13. I think I stopped playing it right before I heard it opens up a bit but I wasn't really a big fan of the combat and couldn't stand how linear it was.

    Yes, same combat system with minor tweaks to make it even faster. Linearity was dealt with by mixing in some chrono trigger/radiant historia I.E. Time skipping.

    have around 32 hours logged

    Looking forward to this game. I actually liked 13 and was able to deal with the linear aspect of it because I enjoyed the story so much. Glad to hear that it's going to be more open in this one.

    They're remaking 10. Seems silly to me. It was the last game pre-ps3 other than X-2 but used the same graphics/world so what will an update really do for it? Everything will be the same but it'll be a bit sharper. Why not remake the game everyone wants remade? A complete redo of that would be sickness. I gotta say tho that I'd be as stoked if not more for a complete remake of 6 with updated graphics. Sadly we'll probably never get either.

    I was thinking the same thing. Though they would never do it because other games like 7 would sell better, a remake of 6 would be fucking epic. Being the last (and best) 2D Final Fantasy it is the most prime for a remake imo

    13-2 indicates that it's a sequel of 13, if it were 14 it would be an entirely different game

    then in my eyes you're not an rpg fan. About 10-12 years ago they started using the term rpg for any game where u were considered playing a 'role'.... literal interpretation. Anyways the real definition to any rpg nerd is FF and like games. Final Fantasy (up until lately), chrono trigger, phantasy star, lufia, star ocean, might and magic, wizardry, are all good examples. All these first person 3D action button mashers are not a true RPG.

    Turn based RPGs have always been hella lame. Mario RPG got away with it because it was like 1997 and super nintendo. You can't be making bullshit games like that anymore.
