no thread yet, season premiere was solid. Love Jimmie Smits but the choice of Michael from Lost to play Pope I'm not sold on yet.
-
I knew i recognized that guy from somewhere .... it was LOST. Great start I think .... waiting for shit to really hit the fan though.
-
Totally forgot abuot SOA coming back on and finally watched it thanks to this thread. Good first episode, hope it gets better as the show goes on like last year! I'm still not sold on that fat guy being SAMCRO though. Guys like Happy and Chuck Zito yeah, fatty not so much
-
Surprised OT doesnt talk about this show, crazy episode tonight #RIP
-
I didn't see this thread, just finished tonight's episode. Just have to say, some of the villains in this series are diabolical.
-
Pisses me off. He was probably my 2nd favorite character on the show and I didn't see it coming at all. I was thinking 100% that the Irish guy dives on the grenade there.
Gemma is really starting to get annoying. I want to see her killed off almost as much as Skylar in Breaking Bad. Still enjoy this show though. Sons and Boardwalk Empire are the only 2 shows that I look forward to right now. -
Can't believe that happened ... I thought they were going to figure it out like the always do which has bothered me at some points during this show. I have a new respect for the people making this show that they could kill someone that I know was many peoples favorite character. Should be interesting to see what happens after this. Usually the writers have saved episodes like this for the end of the season. Time will tell

Really good first few episodes did not see that coming

*Spoilers maybe*
I think theyre finally trying to live up to the name of the show in sons of anarchy cause shit is getting pretty out of hand with everything theyre in.
Didnt think that was gunna happen but I didnt really know what was gunna happen cause it was too obvious after the demands that chibs was most likely to get in the box.... Then i thought at first OP was gunna fucking murder everyone in there then the guards were gunna have to take care of it. He knew what he had to do and he put it in his hands from the very start when he head butted the cop to go to jail. He did the same thing in the box head butted him so there wasnt even a question as to what the cop was gunna do. OP checked out once donna died anyways and he seemed pretty content right at the end.
Pope...... Pope is a fucking gangsta. He runs shit. He runs everyone. I love the respect that he has for Jax tho, and the way that its personal but its also only cause its business too. Hes a great character so far and his right hand man is just as good.
Dont forget, they havent even introduced the big guns from the Irish into this season yet. Shits gunna be insane. -
Seemed pretty clear opie was gonna get got, he made his arrangements with his family and then sacrificed himself to go in to protect jax even getting in jail, made sense that he'd do it again. I thought for sure jax was going to volunteer though and word would come down that that's unacceptable or ope would have said fuck that it's me or something.
Liked how it all played out though -

While I wanted this to happen as well it has happened to many times in this show where they get out of situations unscathed when they should of had something happen. It was nice to see the show take a different direction. I do hate that it was Opie but someone had to go and it only made sense. -
did you just really call Opie "OP"?
I was reacting like Jax when Opie was in the box getting ready to fight the black guys. Fuuuuuck that sucked. Whats the deal with Tigg though? Jax said to Pope that he need Tigg to think he saved him from a lifetime of jailsex and that afterwards if he wanted to do Tigg like he did his daughter he would have no problem with that. Was that just to get him out of jail and then deal with Pope later? -
No, I think he meant every word of what he said to Pope. He said he needs Tigg in his pocket on the outside because it will give him more weight getting things done with the club, but that once he's accomplished what he wants to do that Pope can have Tigg and torture him to death. Jax knows that Tigg is a giant piece of shit. He killed Opies wife and constantly flies off the handle getting the club into trouble. Now Tigg is indirectly responsible for Opies death too because his little hit and run is what got them locked up, and you could tell that he and Jax were both aware of that fact when they were having their talk.

Good point. Damn this should be a good season. Going back to last weeks episode, why did the Nomads steal the safe from Gemma's house? They showed Zito looking at the marriage certificate etc. What was that all about?
-
Yeah who the fuck were the people who keep breaking and entering ... noamds i dont remember them ?
-
nomads as in the guys who just joined the club? I didnt click on that when i was watching. I guess then the thing they found gives them leverage on clay and they use it in a way that makes jax think clay is still tryin to bertray him by sideing with the nomads in votes and stuff which climaxes later on in the season.
Also makes sense on why Jax would need Tigs vote secured later on as i didnt really see any reasons going forward why Jax would have trouble getting his way at the table but now it will be clay + nomads vs jax , tig, jib and bobby with juice happy in the middle -
Can anyone fill me in on what happens after Jax talks to the Irish dude? He's calling Tigg over to talk when my dvr stopped recording and I didn't see anything about "nomads". TIA.
-
Nothing really happens ... tells him he's getting out and hes the reason opie is dead .... tig said he should be in the box and jax says something "you aren't though" in a mean demeanor .... nothing of super importance
-
RIP half sack (in real life)
-
"Im getting out of here and theres nothing you can do to stop that. And when I do im going to find out who you are find out who your family is and where you live. Then im going to kill you."
****Bart scott CANT WAIT gif here pls****** -
Kinda sorta, but not really.

Tigg: "it shoulda been me in the box" (getting brutally beaten to death with a pipe).
Jax: "yeah, but it wasn't"
Tigg: "I'm sooo sorry, Jax"
Jax: "it's not about being sorry. From now on you back me in everything I do with SAMCRO."
Tigg: "ok man"
Basically the scene is Tigg and Jax subtly acknowledging that Tigg is the reason Opie is dead, and that Jax worked it out with Pope that Tigg would not stay locked up for life. Jax essentially told Tigg that he saved his life, and that he wants Tigg's allegiance on all future club votes in return. -

Yeah forgot about that part I guess voting will come into question at some point and jax will have him on his side which will be weird since he is clays boy. -
Jax needs Tiggs vote at the table when he brings up that the club needs to give pope 50% of all cartel action now. After he gets that passed i think tiggs conclusion will come after that sometime.
That scene where Jax talks to chibs then tigg is pretty epic. If you watched the scene before that where jax is in the office with pope for the second time when he calls tara to tell her hes ok it all ties in. Pope is owning jax in that scene but at the same time hes teaching him.
Idk why but i feel that pope has a ton of respect for jax. I think he sees something in him and wants him to succeed but at the same time he has to punish him and the sons for what has happened. Popes is almost helping jax rise to power and understand everything that comes with that through all of this. Its a pretty crazy scene in the office but then when Jax goes back out to gen pop to talk to the guys they go to the secluded side of the room and the 2 black guys just get up and give them no shit and give them the space alone... thats a pretty big statement... and then jax is sitting on the table kind of in a position of power when hes talking to both of them and it personifies jax actually grasping that power and controlling it right there and understanding that this is his time.
***im high so i might be trying to look to far into this but thats what i got out of the end of this ep, im gunna rewatch it after i go to the gym tho and maybe ill feel diff -
I'm thinking that Jax is going to try and make a deal with the Feds to serve up Pope and get SAMCRO off the hook for the Rico case. Now that Pope is taking 50% of SAMCRO's profits from the cartel business Jax is gonna have to find a way to end that. Setting Pope up seems more likely than just waging an all out war, since Pope seems to have more connections and muscle.
Whatever happens, they've set things up for Jax to go nuts this season. Gonna be some good Jax rage scenes and it will be interesting to see him try and get out from under the thumb of the Feds while also plotting revenge on Pope. -
Just read an article on CNN about this and it was vague as hell. Said that there was an 81 year old lady gruesomely murdered in her residence and that "half sack" Lewis was found dead in the front yard, apparently having climbed to the roof of the 3 story building and having jumped or fallen off?
Then there were quotes from the director of Sons saying that Lewis was a troubled mess and that it's sad it came to this. What the hell happened? He was hooked on drugs, tried to rob a rich old lady but ended murdering her, and then killed himself by jumping off the roof? Pretty insane story.
