If you play golf at all there is a course called "The Quarry" and the back nine is literally inside of a quarry and the top of the quarry is surrounded by trillion dollar homes (heard one was Bruce Bowen's when I was there last). It is one of the most unique courses I've ever played I loved it.
Didn't get to really go out as was just there with the golf team in college and we were staying in Austin, but we did go on the riverwalk and get lunch and saw the Alamo and stuff. It's a pretty nice town you'll enjoy it. -

Hey man i live in the 1604/I10 area across from fiesta texas, there’s a lot to do over here. You have the palladium movie theater, lots of bars/restaurants/stores etc. There’s also Mulligans, scout bar, and others on 281 about a mile north of 1604 that is always packed Thursday-Sunday. I’m not too familiar with downtown as I am the north side but pm me if you need anything. Lackland is a good place to be from what I hear, gl man

Heard Wild West was a kick ass bar. -
this makes the most sense and no sense at all. how do they not bust them for underage drinking every night?

But hit up Austin a few times if you can.

I really miss clubs in Texas that let 18 year old girls in, FFS. Lameass, they don't drink inside the clubs, they get drunk before obv. TABC (Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission) are everywhere. you get marked with black X's usually -
duh dude. but like guys arent offering girls drinking every second they are in there. and def if they are drunk before they come in, like the girls are going to deny drinks. i dont see how they dont get busted all the time
also, since they are drunk before they come in how do the police know they werent drinking in the club?
like i said, awesome idea. but at the same time its retarded. the cops have to just look the other way -
Tried to find the basement when I was there, but failed. Will be going back soon.

I'm gonna be in San Antonio next week for work. Amazingly it's gonna be less hot than it is here in Virginia. Fuck this heat.
Ever since I've been in Houston and I tell people I'm from Virginia they always say "man, you must be having a hard time with the heat!" I think people vastly underestimate how hot VA is. -
I'll be in SA for work as well next week

Edited By: HeyNiceAscot Jul 22nd, 2011 at 02:37 AMSuch an awesome golf course. It's probably in the top 10 courses I've played and surprising the #2 Quarry course on my list (Giants Ridge, MN is amazing). I remember playing it from the tips and there was a 240 yard par 3 with mostly carry...crazy tough par 3. Def a course to check out in San Antonio.Originally Posted by coolhandkev
