  1. I've been here a year now and feel qualified to officially announce that this place blows.
"How could he say that?", you ask. Oh, let me count the ways.

    1. The weather. It is always the same, no variety. Every day the same damn thing, 73 degrees and sunny. True story - when I got my iPhone, it was two months before I realized that the weather icon wasn't showing a live report. The weatherman on channel 5 died in May and nobody realized it until last week.

    2. The beach. Basically a place to get covered in sand and salty water. I don't like any place where you go there to get wet and by the time you leave you need to take a shower. And who wants to feel self conscience by seeing all of those half naked coeds running around?

    3. The food. I am so sick of ethnic food made by people of that ethnicity. "Authentic" is overrated. Would it kill them to put in a few more Taco Bells and Olive Gardens? (btw - In n' Out doesn't even have chicken nuggets.)

    4. Extracurricular activities. What is there to do if you happen to not like professional sports, gambling, outdoor sports, fine dining, an amazing nightlife or the tons of other activities that are free to the public?

And now, to top it off, the Miramar Air Show starts tomorrow so I have to spend the next three days drinking beer, eating junk food and climbing around in tanks and helicopters and jets while the Blue Angels fly 50 feet over the top of my head, for free.

This place sucks, I'm moving to Washington state.
  2. haha I approve of this thread
  3. cheers! i also hate that i'm not being bit by mosquitoes, i can wear shorts over thanksgiving, that i never have to shovel snow, and that it takes me less than 1/2 to check-in and go through security at the airport! dang san diego...
  4. That sounds horrible

  5. Live one winter in Chicago and you'll be begging to go back

I fucking hate it here, I'll trade places with you (no trade backs)
  6. Could u at least supply us with one of those 'ha ha' pirate pictures to sum up your thoughts (iirc it was u)

  7. If I made twice what I make now I'd reluctantly move to San Diego sighhhhhhhhhhh
  8. on the plus side, underdog lives near there and the padres will soon finish 2nd in the division (juan thyme!)
  9. I spent two weeks there in June and it is seriously one of the best cities in the country... see OP for reverse reasons.

  10. San Diego is just as amazing as this ^^^

its not as expensive as you'd think. unless you want to buy a home.
  12. Been to San Diego twice, great city and seems like it would be a great place to live. Id move there except i dont want to swallowed up by the ocean in 2012 when the Big One hits.
  13. I almost fell for this until I got to #3 & 4.

    VWP.
  14. Absolutely without a doubt America's Finest City.

don't want to buy a home but I have a roommate here and there I'd be on my own. I was stationed at NAB Coronado in the early 90's
and loved it there but definitely have to live in a decent area of town.
  18. I agree with OP. It even rained today for a combined 20 minutes. Sigh...
  19. Not to mention that the end of May and the beginning of June could be overcast - and you have to drive 10 whole miles to go somewhere that's guaranteed to be sunny. bravo sierra, imo.
  20. Icwudt..... Agree with everything except the nightlife. Most the time near the gas lamp you get 30-40 yearold d bags trying to hit on the local college girls, so I can't say it's perfect for the ladies

But you also have PB that is all college kids passing around VD's, Ocean Beach has a bunch of loos hippie chicks, and then north county is where the late 20- late 30 crowd hangs for the most part. The place really does suck.
  22. pffft 73 and sunny blows its all about being overly hot and humid in the summer and freezing with lots of snow in the winter
