Anybody ever stay at a Sandals resort? My wife wants to go somewhere warm this winter for a week after New Year's, and we are thinking about booking with Sandals. We're been to Aruba and Puerto Rico before, but never stayed at an all-inclusive resort. Are they worth the extra money? Is every really included, or are some of the common things you'd want extra? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Pics of wife are mandatory b4 any advice can be given.
kthxbye -
Tipping for drinks and maids and waiters and shit like that.
and yeah pics plz -
I don't have a lot to help with but I have checked out some places too and Sandals seems to be way more $$. Not sure if it's worth it.

Its not worth it. You can really save yourself some money by going somewhere else. Where are you going?? Mexico I presume? or jamaica

Sandals, Beaches, Couples....Everything is included except some premium booze, some better wines and tips. Some of the resorts don't really enforce the no tipping rule.
Check the travel message boards for specific resort info. -
We were thinking the Bahamas or Antigua, but still exploring our other options. A cruise is always an option, but we've never been on one of those either. I was just thinking the all-inclusive nature might be cheaper in the end, but that's why I'm asking. Pics on the way, also.

I went to Punta Cana and stayed at an all-inclusive resort and it was probably the best vacation I have ever taken. Wake up to full out buffet for breakfast, go lay on beach (which tops were optional) drink beer/swim, hit up lunch buffet, go to pool bar (swim up bar) then go back to room to get ready for dinner and eat at either a sit down regular restaurant or hit up anohter buffet and drinks at night.

I've stayed at sandals in montego bay and was not impressed .
Seacrets may be a better option . I stayed at seacrets excellance in Punta Cana and it was by far the best vacation I ever had . It's top shelf everything and bottled beer (compared to well drinks and keg beer at sandals). You can pretty much eat anything you want , I ate steak and lobster every night for dinner .
Here is some good advice , your first day go around to all the bars , have a drink , introduce yourself to the bartenders and give them a little tip ($20 will do ). It's amazing what $20 will do for you in these places , they will remember you ,what you drink ,and always serve you first which will help because some nights after dinner it will be 4-5 deep at the main bar . -
I stayed at the Sandals in the Bahamas and absolutely loved it. Everything was included in the price except some water sports like jet skis, scuba diving, etc. They had 7 restaurants which were very good. It was one of the nicer resorts Sandals offers (the royal ones are much nicer). I would definately reccomend it. It is also within walking distance of the Wyndam Hotel (I think thats the name) and they have a casino with a poker room. You can also take a cab ride to Atlantis and look at all that. The thing I liked most about Sandals is that it is 18+. No little shit kids running around.
I would definately stay at one again. A few of the resorts have golf courses which come with the stay. Hope this helps. -
PM Michael Scott.

ARGH, jerk. I get through all the posts, and see nothing Office related, and then bam, right at the end, you crush my dreams.
