Hell has officially frozen over!!!! Neeek and I agree on something. Weeeeeeeeeeee! Sarah's Palin's daughters are TEENAGERS. End of story.
  5. Hilarious that Huffington Post thinks this is news worthy.

  6. For those that don't want to read it all, Willow Palin calls someone a faggot.

  7. Seems like they would fit right in on OT...
  8. Matt doing work
  9. LULZ. End of story? They have a lot of media attention. Their mom's every move is under a microscope and scrutinized. For them to handle themselves like that on an internet network open to the public is incredibly asinine at best. They don't get to be held to the regular "teenage" standards IMO. Momma should raised them better.
  10. Dude, she's 16.

If I was judged by what I said when I was 16 I wouldn't have a job right now.
  11. OP is a douchebag

Did you use that language in a public forum?? Did you use that language when your mom is a political figure who runs on good christian morals?? Whether it's right or not...they are held to a higher standard

They have a liberal agenda, obviously. (I'm not kidding, for those who aren't familiar with HuffPo.)

Obviously. I don't disagree with that. The "Momma should have raised her right" was a joke. I'm just saying, somehow facebook is more public than any conversation you have with friends. The stuff she posts on FB is going to observed by media types.

I am still shocked at the lack of discretion I see on peoples FB pages.

Edit: I certainly don't think this makes them trashy at all. Just saying you can't act like they aren't held to a higher standard.

Just lol at comparing AIM chat rooms to Facebook...AIM chatrooms had more anonymity, such as screen names like nirvana4life6969xxoo....Where as Facebook uses your real name...They aren't the same...at all. And the fact you used a 4 and a 0 in that word obv shows that it shouldn't have been put on a public forum.
  18. Random thoughts about this:

    Strange times.

Politician's kids should be off limits. This isn't an attack, technically, but it still makes me uncomfortable. Kids say stupid things. We should leave them alone.

    Strange times.

You can't be serious. They're kids. I used words WAYYYY worse than that when I was 16. I also did things that were way worse than posting a slur in a public forum. Luckily I grew up. She isn't trash, she's a teenager using poor judgement... that's as standard as it gets. Her mom can't monitor every slight thing she does all day long. I'm NOT a sarah palin fan in the slightest, but it's outrageous to think she could stop her daughter from doing dumb things once in a while - it's what 16 year olds do.

And as for your second part, something about being held to a "higher standard" (LOL), I'll defer to Wonkette:

Politics news: Willow and Bristol Palin are teenagers from podunk Alaska and are not brilliant honors students. So they are on The Facebook, where they are easily led into angry Facebook “flame wars” when people say their mother’s horrible teevee show is horrible. So, surprise! Willow uses gay slurs and calls people “fat” and uses other “f-bombs” when she is talking about teenagers she does not like! And then Bristol comes in, all adult-like, to tell people, “I’m successful because I’m a hard ass worker.” It’s not clear whether this simply means she works hard (at being the daughter of a famous hick?) or if she is actually employed as something called an “ass worker,” but you can read this conversation for yourself and feel bad for spending part of your adult life looking at the inane words of children that some other adult took the time to record from Facebook.

Sources connected to the Palin family tell us …

Willow normally doesn’t use this type of language, but she felt like she was being attacked along with her family. The source added it was the baby bear defending Mama Grizzly.

Ugh, why did we read this crap? We really did read this crap. That’s it, your editor quits. Nope, can’t do this anymore.

  20. Yup, just because of who her mom is doesn't change the fact that she's a 16-year-old girl. Teenagers make poor choices and don't have the best judgment. It's part of growing up. My parents were awesome and definitely taught me right from wrong, but I was a hellion as a teenager. Someone on my FB page was also freaking out over this. I thought she was the only kook (aside from whoever at the Huffington Post decided this was newsworthy) who didn't understand that kids will be kids. Guess I was wrong.

I think it's originally from TMZ.

But, agreed. This is a good example of how much we suck lately.
  22. BUT, I know you are smarter than this. WE ALL did worse things than this when we were younger. That isn't what I am saying. My point is, even at 16 it shouldn't be hard to know that as the daughter of a huge political figurehead (whether you think she is unintelligent or not) you can't attach the Palin name to this kind of vocabulary on a public forum like facebook. No matter how you spin it, or how much smarter than me you are, there is no way you can convince me differently on this topic.

Well of course you can't compare the two. 12 years ago when I was 16, we didn't have any type of forum or network like this. You can bet your ass the same shit would've happened, though. FFS, I still read grown ass men and women talking shit on their FB's and they're my age. I'm seriously close to deleting one bitch from my friends list because she loves to air out all of her dirty laundry and is currently talking shit about her ex that she just broke up with.

I don't get the "smarter than me" thing, but, ok I guess.

Anyway, I understand that it's only news because of the Palin name. What I'm saying is that it *shouldn't* be news at all, even with the Palin name. Are you saying that this is newsworthy or that people should make some sort of inference from this? Because if you are, then I refer back to the Wonkette article.

  29. Conrgrats OP.....whenever you can start a thread and have Neeek, UD, Brianyut, Ecugirl, gamma21,and jetsjets1028 agree completely and disagree with you, you have certainly accomplished something!!
