  1. Thought there would be a thread on this since this is a pretty big decision, at least here in AZ. For those that don't know, looks as if most of the law was struck down, however, police have the right to check on a person's legal status if they are detained for other reason's (If I am understanding that part correctly).

From what I have seen on the news here in AZ, state considers this a victory.

But then of course Mr. Wonderful in DC thinks otherwise and has already advised govt. workers to not take any calls regarding a person's legal status.

I actually live in AZ now. I stand by our President. Jan Brewer is delusional if she thinks that was a win for her.

  6. if the police can detain people at will because a crime was committed close by. Than i dont see any reason why they should not be able to ask for legal identification everytime they suspect suspicious activity in a border state like Arizona.

Because crossing the border without papers isn't a criminal matter, its a civil one.

    In what country?
  12. I think the Conservatives are in the right when it comes to immigration - we should completely open the borders, and let the free market work - the best will get the jobs, and the country will be stronger for it.

  14. kinda funny that mexicans are considered alien to arizona.
  15. I used the word "alien" to refer to a foreigner, and a nonnative english speaker (who speaks english pretty well) thought I was making up the fact that we use alien in this context.

    THURSDAY!!! Juan time............
  17. Pretty sure the Obamacare smackdown will be a half ass ambiguous ruling that will only make it all the more confusing.

I doubt it will be completely upheld or completely struck down.
  18. the whole illegal immigration debate seems crazy to me. the feds are suing states for trying to enforce the law, the law that the feds refuse to enforce. obama basically granted amnesty to a million illegals and their families with his latest executive order.

just wild to me that so many people dont acknowledge the damage that these illegal immigrants are doing to our society. we have enough problems with americans, we dont need to import the third world

the welfare rats are enabled enough by the goverment to make it next to pointless financially to get a low paying job.

the mexicans are not quite yet brainwashed and controlled by the government so they are willing to do them.

in 20 years the mexicans will realize they can get shit for free and we will have to find the next factory for all our low paying jobs

Yeah, those welfare recipients are really getting over on us; it's amazing that more people haven't decided to use that loophole to live in the lap of luxury!

I know a smart ass reply is all you got

we need to find a way for these people to take low paying jobs instead of welfare. they have to start somewhere. a man recieving a paycheck is generally more productive to society than one recieving money for nothing.

producing is a funny thing...it often makes one feel relevent and want to produce more.

it also sets a much better example to the younger generation who follow in the footsteps.

I dont know the best solution but I do know that it should involve less handouts and more incentives to work

its not just welfare its all the social programs. extended handouts are rarely a good.thing.

they should be used as a means to take a step forward.

blah...dont have energy to type on my cell.
  27. only 56 states now that AZ is no longer sovereign. It is an area under federal control like DC.
