    I know, but the whole mentality of "let's merge all these threads together cuz they are about a similar topic" is fucking retarded. Like the entire nfl/mlb off season need to be discussed in one thread for what reason? Just because those threads exist? It's not like we have 35-40 new threads a day on here, and there are many posters like 1.21 gigga who mentioned that they purposely avoid those threads because there is so much bullshit to sift through. I actually enjoy the NQTW thread because there is a lot of gold in there, it's the mentality that i have a problem with, which is grouping everything together in giant cluster fuck threads. shit makes no sense to me.

    i disagree. No one should have the power to determine if something is threadworthy or not. If a thread sucks it will fall of page one in 10-12 hours.

    Okay, i'll give my take on the merge stuff.

    There was a time a couple months ago where alot of threads got merged, we have stopped that. Now the times i merge stuff is when the same discussion is in multiple threads.

    People on here get pissed when things get merged and pissed when things dont get merged, so as anything in life, not everyone will be happy.

    The one merge earlier in the week i did into the NFL FA thread was a bad merge, i admit, but for the most part the Mods here have slowed down alot on the merges.

    But i will say it again, if there is the same discussion in 2 separate threads i tend to merge them and i generally tell the OP that i have merged them.

    yup, that 1-3 rounds of the ncaa tourney is a prime example. by the time it got on my radar it had 300 replies and i'm not gonna read it. looks like 2+2, just to generic. the site would be funner if mods came in and zapped shit that is so generic like that. looks to me like some e-nerds need the e-orgasm of "look at my average views." cue that german kid smashing his keyboard.
