If you voted for Obama do you regret it now?
If you voted against Obama (for anyone other than him) is he doing a better job than you expected?
I ask because the polls have his popularity going down rapidly (as pointed out in graphs posted) but I haven't yet heard one person who has changed their opinion of him.
And FWIW, there are SOME things he's done that I agree with. Others I saw coming. So in reality, he's actually doing better than I had expected, which was zero agreement on my part expected. -
Voted for Obama and no
-
didn't vote for him, and am shocked how bad he's been. I truly underestimated the damage he and the dems would do.
-
the words "serious", "political" and "poll" do not mix IMO
-
voted against, not impressed.
-
voted against and doing waaaay worse than I expected
not sure of anything good he has done, but I dont like the fact he campiagned on not doing things the old politics way, and then went ahead and passed HUUUUUUGE legislation using shady tactics of buying votes -
did not vote for obama
not at all surprised at how poorly he's done. -
Voted for and look forward to voting for again
I <3 Obama -
Voted for him.
Thrilled so far.
It would make me unhappy is if the likes of norcaljeff, resilient, et al were happy with the job he was doing. Not that I want them to be unhappy. But we voted for different people for actual real reasons. So it's pretty natural to think that they would be unhappy with what he has done. -
This. I cant believe how stupid he is. He spent his entire first year with the an economy in the dumps and high unemployment raming a health care bill most of the country didn't want down our throats. If he had spent the first year doing anything and everything he could to create jobs and help the economy I for one would have been more likely to budge on this health care deal.

...still glad Sarah Palin is no where near the white house <first political post ever...>
-
what about the spending? annual trillion dollar deficits? I mean, I get you like the healthcare and...whatever else he's done, but "thrilled"?
-
voted for him, don't regret it considering alternatives.
not thrilled with the job he's done so far. -
Shortcut to how this poll will turn out
OT Political Roll Call
According to ^^ 2/3 of this forum are conservative/libertarian/Republican-leaning. I would be truly shocked if any of them voted for Obama in the first place or approve of his policies now. The remaining 1/3 would almost uniformly have voted for Obama and I would be shocked if any of us oppose him from any direction besides the left. -
a. inapplicable
b. Hell no, probably worse -
Pretty much this.

Politicking is all a game. And that game doesn't end with the candidates. The voters play that game without even knowing. -
Voted for him and will probably vote for him in 2012.
-
I didn't vote for him, but I he is doing better than I thought he would do. I actually thought he would do much more damage, and be much more extreme (to the left).
All you saying he is doing far much more damage than you thought he could do, you mad. He is doing exactly what he campaigned on, but he has comprised some on what he campaigned on. I know you arent happy with what is going on and neither am I, but what did you expect after that election? -
he campaigned on annual trillion dollar deficits? I could have sworn he said bush spent too much.
-
LOL, have you really bought into this bullshit?

Q: How much more money than Bush has Obama spent?
A: Not much. The major piece of "spending" legislation was the Recovery Act and a large portion of that "spending" was actually tax cuts, which only count as "spending" when Democrats do them. When Republicans do tax cuts, it's called "letting Americans spend their own money, guldarnit." The other large part was shoring up State budgets. Only a fraction of the Recovery Act is for new spending.
Q: What is the primary reason for the deficit?
A: Decreased tax revenues because of the recession. When people earn less (or nothing) they pay less in taxes.
Q: If McCain had won and had added ZERO spending, how would the deficit be different?
A: Not fucking much, because, again, the current deficit has been caused more by lost tax revenue from the incredibly shrinking economy. -
10 more years of recession?

someone needs to post a proper poll/voting thing..
