  1. I live in Lynchburg, VA; right down the street from the sacred and holy creation of Jerry Falwell... Liberty University.

    Today they played JMU - and it was a close game. It could've been horrendous if they'd won.

    Now my friend (the one I've posted about before who brings up their women's basketball success), comes in with "our D kept them from scoring as much as they did against Va Tech", and "we kept it a close game, I think Tech would have a tough time with us". There has to be a legal defense if I were to beat him with a blunt instrument, right?

  2. I guess early 20th Century black Virginians knew they weren't welcome in LYNCHburg.

    I am assuming that is how your hometown got its name.

    either that or it was named after John Lynch in 1757. Meh, assumptions are good. If it makes you feel any better, this thread was in support of a team from BLACKSburg, VA.
