    I'm a huge Angel fan, and my room mate likes the padres. He thinks the Padres will win more game then the Angels and is willing to bet 100 bucks on it. With the Padres playing in a tough division do you think I should take this?

    I think it's pretty fair either way, if you're just going by which team will win more games, their divisions won't be as much of a factor. Although I think the D-Backs and Dodgers>Padres.

    i'd ask him if he wants to do it for 1,000. the angels are 1/2 to win their division while the padres are 4/1

    You could go either way on this 1. Padres play in a tough division but the rest of the NL is weak. The Angels do get to play the Rangers and A's each 19 times so thats a plus. And also Im not convinced that the M's are all that good. Bedard and King Felix will be nasty and their pen is good but you cant rely on Adrian Beltre and Richie Sexson. The Angels lost Escobar for the year probably and Lackey is hurt....two of their top 3 starters which means Weaver and Santana are going to have to step up huge. They do have great depth in their farm system....Saunders and Moseley are good. Pen is good. Lineup is solid. I would say take the bed

    bot should be around 90 wins. Watch out for Angels though. Lackey is out til at least May and Escobar could be out for a long time w/ shoulder surgery. The Padres pitching is sick, so they get the edge despite the tougher div.
