    they both sucked...

    I cant even determine which was worse, they were that bad, but district 9 made me laugh at the stupidity of it.

    Paranormal activity is not completely awful, but it's very over-rated.

    I've only watched District 9 out of the two, but I thoroughly enjoyed it and would definitely recommend it.

    That movie was like an emotional rollercoaster with cool special effects.

    I thought District 9 was fuckin boring/cheesy as hell, haven't seen Paranormal Activity but I'd recommend that based on how lame D9 was

    I know everyone has individual tastes, but I don't get how anyone could come away from District 9 thinking it sucked. It was very original in the way they told the story and they didn't make it too sci-fi for people who don't like that part. I thought the effects were great for what they were trying to accomplish and Sharlto Copley was awesome as Wikus Van De Merwe, portraying him in an unconventional way which had us believing he was somewhat of a fool/stooge but at the same time commanding our respect as he dealt with the aliens on their turf.

    It's definitely not for everyone and I can see why people may not like it in general, but I don't understand how you walk out of there saying it sucked. I'm sure people would say the same thing to me about Transformers 2 - a movie I think sucked.

    Watched Paranormal Activity tonight and was thorougly unimpressed and actually angry when I finished. So based on that I'd say District 9, which I haven't seen.

    The whole quality of the movie esp the special effects was sick considering that there budget was around 30 million with no A list actors. Maybe not a movie for everyone but I thoroughly enjoyed it and it's a breath of fresh air into your typical sci fi space cowboy kind of stuff.
