  1. I wouldn't consider myself a Trekkie. I've never seen any of the original shows/movies with Kirk, Spock, etc. I don't watch any of the new Star Treks and don't watch Sci-Fi in general. But I love Star Trek: The Next Generation. Used to watch it Sunday mornings as a kid....my dad didn't have cable and on Sunday mornings, there were 4 channels. 3 of them were Church programming or shows like Meet the Press, and 1 of them had TNG. So I watched. And to this day, it's still one of my favorite shows, and I still watch occasionally on YouTube.

A big reason why I think the show has endured and is still on television is because of Patrick Stewart. He's a fantastic actor, and I'd see him in almost anything he acted in and I'm sure I'd like it. The show had many great characters and lots of amazing stories, but he was the glue. Captain Jean-Luc Picard is one of the better TV characters ever written, and I can't imagine anybody else playing the character except him.

Congrats to Sir Patrick on achieving the highest honor in his profession in his homeland. There are four lights.

This statement pretty much makes you a Trekkie .... or a Cardassian.
