    FOSTORIA - Two Fostoria men were arrested early Wednesday morning after a pizza delivery person was robbed at knife point.

    Rodney D. Hampton, 40, and Jonathon L. Zickefoose, also 40, were charged with aggravated robbery after a 28-year-old female employee of Pizza Palace was robbed around midnight, Fostoria Police Chief John McGuire said.

    The men had ordered a pizza from a pay phone at 7-Eleven, 121 S. Countyline St., he said. When the woman arrived with the pizza, a male with a knife grabbed her arms and demanded the cash bag.

    McGuire said the woman struggled and eventually cut the man with his own knife. He took her money bag and cell phone, and fled in her vehicle.

    The woman wasn't injured, McGuire said, but Hampton was transported to Fostoria Community Hospital for a lacerated right hand after police followed a trail of blood and found him hiding under a tarp at 407 W. Crocker St.

    McGuire said the money bag, cell phone and knife were found at a garage nearby on West Crocker Street.

    Zickefoose was apprehended after police responded to the report of a suspicious vehicle in the 200 block of Findlay Street around the same time the robbery was reported. He was in the driver's seat.

    McGuire credited Fostoria police for tracking the men down and a neighbor for spotting the suspicious vehicle.

    "I give credit to her for putting up a fight," McGuire said of the victim.

    He said Hampton also faces a charge of tampering with evidence, and a charge of possession of crack cocaine is pending.

    According to one of the detectives that showed up they've been seeing more and more of this type of crime over the past 6 months or so and it seems like it is happening more and more each day. So, yes, they brought out the chopper to try to find this dickhead. At one point I counted 7 police vehicles in the parking lot.
