Yup, last night walking across the street to a bar, and there was a jaywalking sting going down. Wasn't pleased about getting a 150$ ticket, and bang had cuffs on me. What a joke!
-
PM Jaybone
-
Wait.
So you were actually handcuffed, placed into a police car, and driven to a police station for ONLY jaywalking? -
You were handcuffed? What else did you do/say to cause this?
-
sounds more like a public intoxication charge if they took you to jail
-
guess I asked a few of the wrong questions, as in "why are you letting those 6 girls walk across?," and "this is kind of silly don't you think, as the nearest cross walk in a 1/4 mile away."
-
no, officers of the law like it when you are a fucking punk and try to shit on their job.
-
So, did they actually take you to the police station, and was it only for jaywalking?
-
cops need to meet their quota, so what else can they do?
-
I went to the drunk tank, a huge building with a mat. you stay there for 4 hours then you can go. I actually only had 3 beers before this. I was the only one there til I was about to leave at 4, when they started bringing in the drunks. one guy puked all over the desk as they were getting his name.
-
stop causing trouble and they won't have to.
It's their fucking job and they are allowed to come see what you clowns are doing in the alley behind the 7-11 -
It is true, this is my second "run in with the law" and both times they were complete assholes. this cop was laughing and saying "man I wish we got commission for writing these tickets."
the biggest problem is they were giving people tickets for jaywalking to the bar, but letting the drunks leaving the bar alone. -
If the Cali PI charge is anything like Texas, you can get charged for just being in the bar. It doesn't really matter if you're drunk, if you piss them off is the most important.
-
they were leaving the drunks leaving the bar alone because you had them fucking too busy calling them pigs
-
high five! welcome to the club.
As for being arrested for it... it wasnt cause you were Jaywalking, its cause you were acting like a complete asshole. Trust me, I know from experience.
No one was more drunken asshole charges then me here. -
are you a cop or somthing?? or u just talking shit to the OP, because 95% of Cops are small balled, picked on in high school, power seeking, PIGS.......and then there is the other 5% who do a great honorable job and deserve praise
-
lol at not knowin bill is a cop
-
I got thrown in jail for refusing to sign a speeding ticket.
My attitude pissed the cop off so bad I suprised I did not get the shit beat out of me. -
i got stopped by the coppers for walking across in intersection, in the cross walk mind you, but the light was red. it was 1am with no cars in sight. the cop was an old friend of mine from jr high who i used to play baseball and soccer with. he looked right at me, took my id, and wrote me a $125 ticket without saying a word. asshole.
-
wait wait wait, popping off to the cops didn't work out for you? huh. good to know
-
I have no respect for cops that come in with an attitude. They are there to serve and protect, thinking they're better than anyone just because they have a strippers outfit on doesn't mean they can be an asshole. If he's gonna be an asshole because like everyone I crossed the street, I'm not going to sit there and be treated like a 4 yr old, because he's trying to impress his trainee. Who by the way apologized to me for what happened.
-
drunk and talking to a cop isn't the best time for you to decide to take a stand and not get pushed around. little more apathy, little less pride is the right move in these situations.
