    I wish I could help you, but I never made it to season 3. Season 1 was pretty cool, but once they started in the hatch it kind of got gay. I ended up watcihing season 2 and it never got a whole lot better so I said screw it and never cared about season 3.

    It was a terrible ending. So many awesome things happened and then they go and pull that crap. The point of watching season 4 should be to see what happens next, not to figure out what the hell happened in season 3.

    the end of season 3 is that they are home. What appeared to be a flash back was actually a flash forward. Now Jack wants to go back to the island and he has certainly lost all his marbles.

    What i'm guessing we'll learn about in the new season is how exactly they were rescued, how they're dealing with being home and more flashbacks to the island.

    The end of season three was really shocking to me. I just never thought they would be rescued until the final episodes. There are still 48 left (three more seasons of 16).

    Just remember, nothing is as it seems.

    I thought it was a flash forward the whole time I was watching that, which is weird because I usually never catch onto that stuff.

    It was a flash-forward rather than a flash-back. They are still on the island, except the difference in the show from this point on will be that some episodes will have flash-forwards rather than flash-backs. The majority of the story for season 4 will still take place on the island, continuing from where they left off (them supposedly getting rescued).
