    Alright, so I'm in Sacramento on business and have nothing to do later today and realized San Fran is only like 90 minutes away so my colleague and I are thinking about heading down. Never been to San Fran and I'm assuming I probably won't ever have another chance like this to go...

    Obviously the Golden Gate Bridge is a must. Any other good places to check out? Restaraunts to hit? Hot spots? There has to be something better than what Google is giving me here.

    Don't send me to any gay bars either you bastards.

    Ride the cable cars. Buy a day pass for $11 or it is $5 per trip, so day pass or multi day pass is good value. Cable car museum is free, and interesting. Coit tower is nice to. $5 to go up, or just hang out in the park and enjoy the view.

    go to napkinnights and see what "hot spots" they say about SF. I never actually went out at night in SF so I dunno. It is less than a 90 min drive, unless you drive like grandma though. Have some cash handy for some tolls along the way though.

    I always just went during the day and usually hang out at the pier or fisherman's. Lots of shit to do there to check out. Some good crab if you want some of that. If you leave now, or soon, you can get to alcatraz. I think they take the last people over at about 4pm. Might be later today though since it is a weekend.

    we just booked 3:55PM tickets for the Alcatraz Ferry...which I'm assuming includes the tour...thanks!

    between that, the wharf, and checking out the bridge...should be a solid day. Not bad for a random day-trip.

    Make sure to hit up the sub, if it is open today. You will get a diffrent perspective of how we live at sea.
