    Have never watched Dexter, planning on purchasing all of the episodes and watching them with my wife. I did the same thing with Lost and the Sopranos. Is Dexter and good as the Soprano's?

    IMO Sopranos is way better than Dexter. Although Dexter is a great show.

    The first 4 seasons are up there with the best shows of all time(Six Feet Under, The Wire, The Sopranos), but it starts getting pretty ridiculous after season 4. Have heard people saying that the new season is supposed to be on par with season 3-4, this is the only reason I am highly anticipating it.

    Lol, I'm so not looking forward to Weeds that I totally didn't even notice that this season is 4 episodes deep.

    Obviously it's been a train wreck since season 4, and the last two seasons were pretty much unwatchable... I really hoped the last episode was the finale, but clearly not.

    Is it even worth getting my hopes up at this point?

    About to start watching Curb your Enthusiasm. Have never seen an episode and all I know is that it is the creator of Seinfeld so I am pretty stoked. Got turned onto Californication 2 weeks ago and already watched all 5 seasons.
    Can't wait for next season of Dexter and I am going to start Homeland after Curb

    Yeah but skip season 6, quite possibly the most insulting season of any tv show ever made, just awful on EVERY level.

    I gotta agree with ya that season 6 of Dexter sucked so badly. Season 2-3 were so epic. I just watched 2 eps of Curb and couldn't take it anymore. Ill try to watch another cpl so I dont give up so easily but I just wasnt into it

    The cliffhanger was the best part of the season imo

    Oh shit at first I thought this was a response to the guy who was about to start watching Curb for the first time and I was dumbfounded anyone could possibly tell him to skip season 6 (the Blacks). Agree about Dexter though.

    Edit: Season 4 and 1 of Dexter are epic as in two of the best seasons of anything I've watched, 3 and 2 are very enjoyable, 5 and 6 I kept up with to see where things were going.

    I really hate all the top notch shows being on Sunday. I'm watching Sunday night football so have to dvr dexter, homeland and boardwalk empire. Thewife watches dexter and boardwalk empire with me, but she gets up really early for work so we wind up watching one on Tuesday and one on Wednesday. I spend so much time watching tv during the fall. But I just can't no watch football.
