  5. I do it. But I expected someone like you to be able to tell me the physics behind it.
  6. My dad tought me that trick. He taught it to me for beer though, never tried it with soda.

  8. I dont use nose grease, I just dip my finger...... does the same thing.
  9. I do it...Mostly for Big Red or Dr. Pepper
    They seem to fizz the most, some girls think its gross

    Behind the ear grease works also

    I do it for keg beer as well, but for schooners of keg beer in a bar, I typically use salt

    you should know this since your pops is a photographer, but a little nose grease cleans a camera lens pretty well

  15. I see people doing it with beer, but I'm not a beer pouring noob so I never have that problem. Never seen it done to soda, those bubbles move so quick anyway whats the frigging point?

  17. If someone overfills your cup, it's a useful tool - also depends on the type of soda and temperature.

    The natural "sweat" on your hands and/or fingers does it, pretty gross, but I learned it as a waitress lol

    However, there is another tried and proven method for quickly reducing foam in your beverage: the finger method. Simply put, placing your finger in a drink you pour or into the built up foam on a cup will cause the foam to dissipate almost immediately, or keep it from even appearing. The reason behind this seems to be that the natural oils on the skin of your finger create an non-uniform surface on the bubbles, which cause them to burst. Since the oils then have nowhere to go but down and outwards, it creates a cascading effect that pops most of the bubbles above the drink.

    But according to that, you dont use nose grease so hmm
