Some help planning a Vegas trip (quick question)

    My friends and I just booked four plane tickets to Vegas in early January (Jan 2 to Jan 7). We didn't book a hotel yet.

    We are meeting a friend who moved down there a couple years ago. He says he gets local rates and should be able to get us a hotel comped for a few days if we wait until December to book. However he isn't sure how many days he can get a deal for, and he can't really guarantee that he can get a deal anyways.

    Is it a terrible idea to book a Vegas hotel only a few weeks ahead of time? I'm worried he won't be able to get us a hotel, and prices will be insanely high if we book only a few weeks in advance.

    FWIW we planned on MGM Grand and the NYNY. I would prefer the Venetian or Bellagio but that's not quite in our price range.

    i think most hotels, u can cancel up to 24hrs before. may be a fee if u use a website to book, but they would prob let u know their policy.

    go to hotwire.com type in dates etc
    [x] 4star and above

    give it a few days/week and they will be sending you 5star rooms for around 100 per night

    vegas only has around 5 5star hotels so youll be happy with watever you get

    if your new to hotwire they dont let you choose hotels they just book it and once you pay they tell you where your staying
    you can choose which area of the strip you want
    hotwire is the nizzlez for cheap stuff
