  1. For the last few months my internet is really sluggish, sometimes pages take over 30 seconds to load, and then other times they load straight away. I've tried Chrome, Firefox and IE and its the same on each.

I've run full scans with AVG and Malware Bytes and didn't find anything. I've deleted a bunch of stuff and no joy. I don't think its my connection cause PS3 online works fine. My wireless is secured so there's nobody elese using my wifi which might have been slowing things down.

Is there any other free security software I can run that might find whatever is making my interwebz run like poo?
  2. flush your dns.
  3. Wireless connection? Certain routers and modems do not work well together. Run a speed test to see what your connection speed is, and then repeat that at various times. I can go from 10MB/sec to 1MB/sec in the matter of minutes.

  4. Clean up your browsers history. Delete temp files. Do a speed test.

  5. It's probably the titwanking trollolosssss
  6. Speed test coming in at 2.5 MB/sec, which while slow by today's standards has always been sufficient for my laptop to load any page quickly or steam any movie without issue.

Also using the same router I've always used which is why I'm thinking it might be something that AVG / MWB isn't detecting.

Flushed DNS, will see if it makes a difference..

titwanking trollolosssss was upgraded about two weeks ago, might reinstall it though.

Wow, my dad's main phone is actually a 2.4, I just looked. Is that probably the case then? It makes no sense, sometimes the connection is flawless and other times it is just total trash for days on end.
  16. Weak sauce connection but I could give 2 shits cuz I've been streaming the Phils Braves game in near perfect quality. All that matters really

  19. kinda related problem i have: my router just stopped working a few days ago.

i thought it was my internet acting up, but i can be directly connected to my modem and be fine. router is one of the old belkin n+ models from like 2 years ago. i have dsl and the connection is set up as pppoe through my modem. do i need to also set the router up pppoe or can i just use a dynamic ip setting since i already established the name and pw through my modem?

i've tried a bunch of different things and read through forums, but no help so far. could it have something to do with the fact that i set up the modem using my old labtop and no longer have the set up cd?

  20. This is pathetic.

I hae the worst internet ever, and obv by this test, it backs it up. Why is my internet so bad? Is it just that I have the slowest option, modem or router problems. It's horrible. Any one know what it could be?
