Sports Betting Debate

    OT plz help me settle a debate between me and a couple of my roommates.


    Roommate A started the sports handicapping season at an astounding 0-14-3 over 4 weeks.

    Roommate B and myself believe this is due to playing bad.

    Roomate A insists he's just running bad, and even if he was 40-60 at winning his bets (assuming he's just playing bad), that he's still running horribly bad to lose 14 40-60's in a row and pushing on 3.



    Obviosuly there is some combination of both here, but OT, if you were to say whether roommate A is playing or running worse, which is it?

    All opinions welcome.

    The odds of not winning anything over 17 games is .0007%, I think that goes well beyond "variance"

    ,Yeah, that is super run bad, you just have to make sure on the off chance that he ever goes 17-0 that he isn't allowed to say it's all skill. But even if you were trying to go 0-14-3 you couldn't even come close

    My theory:

    If he's playing great and running great, he's 17-0

    If he's playing great and running bad, hes 8-8-1

    If he's playing bad and running bad hes 0-14-3

    So therefore if he was even playing okay and just running bad, hes like 3-11-3

    But he's playing so bad that hes 0-14-3...

    right?

    Funny thing is he told me he wanted Minnesota but my bookie didn't get the lines out for the early games in time.

    Then minny went up 28-0...

    Try again, if you go on the heater of anyone's lifetime your 17-0, if you are picking great and running great you are 12-5, you are picking good and running average or picking bad and running above expectation you are 10-7 etc etc, again going 0-17 will never happen again in you or your friends life
